Same day Hospital
Just as Tylan and Roddy left the doctor came out catching Dee's attention causing him to wake the others just as the doctor got to them.
"Family of Jamari Adams" he said looking at his clip board making his parents stand up first with everyone else behind them.
"Thats us" his mom Jessica said while nervously rubbing her sweaty hands down her pants.
"Well I have good news Mr. Adams is fine and doing well" he said with a small smile making everyone release a breath.
"The only reason it took us so long was because he had a lot of drugs in his system that we had to flush out" he said while flipping though his papers.
"Those drugs included cocaine, adderall, methamphetamine, and oxycodone" the doctor said making his parents heads drop, Dee and Avin stood there shaking their heads, while Josh stood there in shock in regret.
He kept thinking about the last time he saw him and how he could tell that he was high on stuff and that he should have stayed with him instead of being mad and leaving him. He felt awful and like he just let his friend down.
"Can we see him" his dad Derrick asked trying to stay strong for his son and wife.
"Yes you can he's in room 214" the doctor said before nodding and walking away.
They wasted no time walking to the elevator to get to the 2nd floor.
The elevator ride was quiet until Jessica turned to look at the boys.
"Did you guys know that he was on that stuff" she asked making them all scrunch up their faces.
"With no disrespect if we knew he was on that stuff don't you think we would have said or did something knowing his history" Avin said trying not to mug her.
"Well you guys are together all the time how could yall not know" she said mugging them just as the elevator opened.
"Saved by the bell" Josh said pushing past everyone rushing to find Josh's room.
Once he found his room he wasted no time barging in there to find him sitting on the bed slurping down some Jello.
Once everybody came in Josh, Avin, and Dee gave him hugs.
"How you feeling" Josh was the first to ask.
"I'm straight I guess" he mumbled trying not to make eye contact with him or anyone in the room mainly his parents who have yet to say anything.
"What were you thinking Jamari you really wanna go down that same path again" Jessica voiced with tears in her eyes.
"I wasn't trying" he said but was cut off by his dad.
"You sure cause it look like you are cocaine, adderall, methamphetamine, and oxycodone are you serous" his dad said raising his voice more and more as he named each drug.
