Chapter twenty one
One year later
Nicole was sitting on her patio outside of her apartment just soaking up the sun as it shined brightly from the June sky. She kept replaying the last conversation she and Paul had, it was heart breaking and she felt like a total bitch for leaving him. She wanted call Vin and explain but she figured that he probably hated her for what she did to Paul. Nicole wasn't doing that good, yes she was back in school and doing yoga and meeting people. During the day she was surround by people studying and she was distracted. But at night well that's when the memory's and dreams came. She leaned back in her chair one was coming to her right now, as she drank her tea. She closed her eyes as she remembered it.
Flashback:
Nicole was crying and sitting in a chair in Paul's kitchen, she had just gotten off the phone with her aunt who lived in Pittsburgh. Her aunt had been yelling at her and saying that she was borrowing too much money from her mother. Nicole got upset because she had been strapped for cash a little while ago in between checks from the movies she starred in with Paul and the screen plays she wrote. She knew that if she had asked Paul he would have given her money without hesitation but she just couldn't bring herself to depend on him like that. Money made relationships complicated and her relationship with Paul was sometimes the only simple thing that she had in her life.
Paul walked in from filming scenes from Furious 7 and saw Nicole crying, he immediately came over to her.
"Baby what is it? What's wrong?" He asked sitting in the chair beside her.
"Nothing it's just my aunt and I got into a fight." She said wiping away tears.
"About what?" He pushed her hair back from her face.
"About me borrowing money from my mom."
Paul frowned and looked at her with so much love his ocean blue eyes shined deeply.
"You know I'm your husband right? You should have just asked me. I have more than enough money." He said.
"I know it's just you have Meadow to take care of, and with the baby coming. I just didn't want to feel like a burden."
"You could never be a burden. I vowed that I would take care of you. I would do anything for you. I love you Nicole."
"I know it's just I didn't want to let myself need you that much." She said not meeting his eyes.
He moved her face so that she was looking at him, she didn't want to meet his eyes because she thought she would melt and get lost in them.
"Baby listen to me because I'm mean every word of this. Everyone needs someone sometimes, it's human nature. I know you love to be strong and have your independence and I know that it's hard sometimes because you feel like your family doesn't understand you. But I'm here. You can always come to me." He said.
"I know." She said standing up.
He moved so that he was standing in front of her and smiled his charming Paul Walker smile.
"You're not getting away without a kiss." He whispered his breath was hot in her ear.
She peaked him on the lips and tried to move away but he held on to her so tightly and deepend the kiss. As he kissed her he unzipped her dress.
"Baby I love you so much." He whispered.
"Paul we can't make love I'm pregnant." She said.
"Pregnant women need to have sex often to reduce stress." He said smirking at her.
She laughed and blushed a little. "Where did you hear that?" She asked him.
"In a magazine now come here and let me ravish you." He pulled her in again.
"I love you Paul Walker." She said.
"We'll be together forever." He said sweetly leaning in again.
End of Flashback.
Nicole opened her eyes and went back into her apartment, she was tempted to call Paul. It had been a year since she had heard his sexy voice. But he had left messages on her phone every night giving her updates on Luke and Meadow were doing. He didn't talk about their relationship and the fact that she had left but she knew he wanted to. She wanted to call him back but she scared that if she did she would forget the reasons why she had left in the first place. Paul had a way of pulling you in deeper and deeper each time you were with him and when that happened there was an enteral pull of you that would never let go. She breathed out a huge breath and dialed his number. She needed to talk to him hearing his voice was not enough. She missed him so much.
The phone kept ringing finally he picked up.
"Hello?" He asked.
She sighed
"Nicole? Baby is that you?" He asked.
She couldn't bring herself to say anything but he did the talking for her.
"Nicole I love you, I know you might not be ready to come back to me yet. But I'm going to wait for you. I've been raising Luke and Meadow on my own with the help of Vin and everyone, and they are not mad at you. I'm not mad at you, I forgive you because I love you will all of my heart. One day you're going to realize that you can't go on like this, that you can't live without me, and I'll be waiting for that day. I dream and think about us all the time. I love you hold on to that baby."
She sighed and said. "I will, I love you Paul." She hung up the phone before he could respond then crawled into bed and cried herself to sleep.
