Jay’s POV

I was sent to kill them. Why is it so hard to follow through with a direct order from the Scientist? Usually I have no trouble…wait, usually I can’t think for myself either, who are these people? They seem….familiar except for the red one, and that uh, bird? The woman..she also seems familiar. But that clown man…he..he seems very familiar. Wait, is that a number on his neck?

I continue to stare at the group, trying to remember who the male with the numbers on his neck and the woman are. No, I don’t have time to reflect. I must kill them, they are not of any importance. ‘Jay, I see you getting off topic.’ His voice enters my head. “No sir..Well..maybe. They just..they look familiar” I reply. The group looks at me weirdly.

No One’s POV

The group stared up at the male. Vil glances at Ronan. “Is he talking to himself? What a weirdo, right?” Ronan thinks of a reply, but is cut off from speaking by Ronald interjecting himself into the conversation. “He’s not talking to himself. I know exactly what's going on. The Scientist. He’s trying to regain control over Jay’s mind. It HAS to be the Scientist behind this, there’s little to no reason it wouldn’t be."

Jay overheard Ronald and perked up. “The Scientist…how do you know of him!?” Jay demanded, grabbing Ronald by the collar of his shirt. “He’s the one who made me this way. I’m superhuman, like you. In fact, we knew eachother, before his serums worked their abilities on us. We were good friends Jay, please try to remember. This isn’t like you, at all!” Ronald pleaded, in desperation. He wanted his friend back.

Slowly but surely, Jay’s temper cooled, and he was no longer in a provoked state. He was a rational human now. Well, not exactly. More like a rational superhuman, but close enough, right? Things were calm, and finally seemed ok, for the time being. All was well until the sound of tires screeching nearby was heard. All of them looked up. A white van was there. Sam’s eyes widened.

She knew this was the same van that took Jay from her 7 years ago. Except this time the Scientist himself was the one behind the wheel. Jay slowly looked up at the van, scowling. He slowly stood up, standing in front of the group defensively as the Scientist got out of the bed. “Hm, not your best work 39007, but it's acceptable I guess, I can just as easily kill them off myself, or even better, perhaps make them experiments..So many options..”

Jay crossed his arms. “I’m not letting you near them. You took me from the people who mattered to me once already, and I’m not allowing you to do it again, got it?” The Scientist smirked and cackled. “You really believe that YOU are capable of stopping me? Oh 39007…I thought you were smarter than that.  I guess experiments never learn, hm?” All of the sudden, Jay screamed out in pain. The Scientist was working his way into Jay’s mind again, trying to send him back into a rampage. Unfortunately, for Sam and the others it worked. He had re-entered his rampage. No one could defend against the rampaging Jay, without tapping into energy at least.

She knew it had to be done, she was still recovering, but protecting the people who saved her from Rod seemed like the most important thing right now. So, she did what had to be done. Sam went into her titanous, monstrous form, wrestling Jay to keep the others safe. The Scientist was quite intrigued by this ability of Sam’s, giving him more reason to want to run experiments. While Sam was distracted, the Scientist pulled out a gun and forced Ronan, Vil, and Ronald into the van. Once they were in, the Scientist snuck up to Sam, and injected her with a needle. She instantly fell unconscious, and shrunk back to her normal size, and Jay put her in the back of the van as well.

The Scientist got in the car, and Jay got on top of the van. The drive to the dreaded facility Ronald grew to hate began. “Oh this is wonderful, our only hope to get out of this fan is unconcious.” Ronan sighed, feeling distraught and hopeless. Vil glanced at Ronald. “You. You’re strong, can’t you break the door down or something? You’re legit all muscle.” Ronald sighed. “I mean I suppose I can try?” He stood up, ramming into the door with as much force as possible. It didn’t work, and the end result was Ronald’s arm really bruised. “Well, that didn’t work.”

Vil tried to make Sam wake up. They pulled the syringe out of Sam, and tried everything to wake her up. They even tried to get her up by saying “WOAH SAM WAKE UP JAY IS NORMAL AND WANTS TO KISS YOU--” Ronald rolled his eyes. “Now why would that work?” He asked, rubbing his bruised arm. Vil shrugged. “What other options do we have? You can’t break it open, Jay’s back under that weirdo’s spell, Sam’s unconscious, we don't really have many choices.” Ronan’s gaze shifted to the roof of the van. “There's an emergency hatch. Someone boost me up, I think I have an idea.”
