Jay’s POV

I watched closely as Sam fell unconscious again. Her skin…it was so pale and clammy. My focus went to the Scientist now. “What did you do to her, I’ll shred you to bits for it, you disgusting creature” I growled, making my way over to him again. “Now 39007! This is very much unorderly conduct! Don’t make me shock you!” He shouted, unable to hide the fear in his voice. I continued glaring down at him. “You really think I’m afraid of your little shocks? Maybe I would have been before..But remember, I’m a monster of your own creation, you MADE me this way. Your thirst for power was too strong, you didn’t take into consideration that you have given me too much power, you can't really stop me anymore.” I said slowly, making sure he was aware I was dead serious.

“I-I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but you have no right opposing me, so uh, follow your protocol, 39007!” He shouted. I crossed my arms and smirked, cornering him. “I’m no longer 39007, my name is Jay. You dont own me, you never have, and you never will. You just had temporary ownership is all.” I whisper into his ear, before grabbing him by the face and brutally beating him to near-death. Satisfied with my work, I turn and sigh, carefully unhooking all the hospital equipment from Sam’s body, and picking her up as carefully as possible.

I walk out of the room and back to the cell, looking at the others. “Hey, let's get out of here. No one should be in our way now. Scientist’s unconscious, so he can't order his goons to stop us from escaping.” They all nod and get up, thus we all started heading for the door.

End of Jay’s POV

Freedom seemed so close, but that feeling of hope was short lasting, when the group realized one important thing. There were no doors. None of them knew how to get out, and they couldnt just try and break a wall, since the first incident with Jay’ the lab realized they needed to upgrade the security systems to avoid so many casualties. Hope was almost lost, until Ronald glanced at a door. “In there. They have a portal. We’ll have to take out a few guards, but besides that, that portal is our best chance at getting out quickly, given that we have no idea how the staff get in or out.”

The group nodded and walked in the room, quickly disposing of the guards. “So uh, is anyone good with computers? We gotta program this thing, so we can actually get out.” Ronan asked, glancing at the technology connected to the portal. Vil walked over to the computer. Honestly, they had no idea what they were doing, but they just wanted to seem smart and contribute to the escape of the group. After a while, the portal did fire up. “Uh, I think that worked.” Vil announced, walking over to the portal, followed by the rest of the group. After a moment, they all sat up, looking around.

“Well, are we out?” Ronan asks. “Well I mean, it looks normal enough to me, so I suppose so?” Ronald replied. Sam finally woke up and looked around, disturbed by some noises off in the distance. “Something’s…not right. That's my dead uncle, and he died when I was 5, so either we went back in time or…” She trailed off, unsure what to say. “We aren’t in the same universe anymore?” Ronald suggested, earning a nod from Sam in response. Jay blinked a few times, looking at Sam. “Since when did you have a dead French uncle? I mean, he looks French anyways.” Sam raised an eyebrow. “How do you determine that my uncle is French just by looking at him--”

“Well, is he French?”

“Well, yeah.”

“He just looks French, ok?”

“You’re extremely odd Jay, you know that?”

“Yeah, I’m aware, princess.”
