(NOTE: If you don't know what MeChat is, MeChat is a Google Play roleplay dating game (kinda like Tinder or whatever), where you get to date whoever you'd like to, even vampires, kitsunes etc.. If anybody's roleplaying this, I'd be happy to give it a go. While it may seem the game revolves around just texting your fictional dates and crushes, there are actual dating scenes as well.)

How they met: Matija was out with some college dormmates in Los Angeles, USA, who were celebrating that they had passed all their exams and they decided to go to a night club. There, he met Eiko when he heard her sing on stage and ever since, he felt attracted to her. They did go on small dates here and there and went onto adventures, even avoiding Eiko's crazy ex-boyfriend, but as Eiko had to focus on reuniting with her family, they had to stop seeing each other for a while. In the meantime, Matija had to go back to Croatia and finish college back home, wondering if he and Eiko would ever get in contact via social media or even meet up at all. He sometimes wonders if, what they even had, was a real thing at all or just temporary relationship.
One day, Eiko reached out to him and she needed his help. Someone had set the forest her family lived in on fire, damaging the shrine and almost burning the den down. This resulted in Eiko's parents turning into foxes while Eiko was the only one who remained in her human form, though, she too lost her kitsune abilities. Luckily, Matija happened to be in United States again as he was visiting his friends he met while he was an exchange student. He once again, assisted with the situation. He helped Eiko rescue her parents and captured the culprit behind the forest fire before turning them over to the Forest Spirit.
Once Eiko and Matija had time to themselves one night, they had a talk about making their relationship official and Eiko asked him to give her some time before they make the final decision as she needed time to recover and help her family stand back up on their feet. Before they parted for the second time, Matija had given Eiko a small soldier figure he called 'lucky soldier' to have something to remember him by incase they never see each other again. In return, Matija got a bracelet from Eiko, which she gifted to him as a thanks for everything he did for her. And with that, Matija returned to Croatia for the 2nd time, uncertain about where their relationship was going.
