Chapter 1- Meet Cute

It was a beautiful September morning that found Emelia Black standing outside of the Village SOPAC movie theater.

This is it Emmy, she whispered to herself. The first day of the rest of your life.

Can I help you? A male voice asked from behind her. She spun around to see who was talking to her and her voice caught in her throat as she took in the man before her. He was tall with brown hair and the prettiest blue eyes she had ever seen. He was smiling at her as he waited for her to answer.

Sorry, she finally managed to choke out, you startled me. I'm actually waiting for a Mr. Wilson. I'm the new manager of the theater.

Welcome! I'm Patrick Wilson. We are really happy to have you! Our last manager quit pretty abruptly and we have been looking for someone to replace him for a couple of months now.

Thank you, she replied smiling at him. I'm very happy to be here.

Well let head inside and I will show you around. Patrick then lead Emelia up to the building and unlocked the door. I have an extra set of keys inside for you and the alarm code is 9768, he added typing the code into the alarm.

Emelia smiled as he flipped on the light. This theater is great, she said turning to look at him over her shoulder. She was still in shock to see the actor standing there. Of course Emelia knew who he was The Conjuring was one of her favorite movies and he is so much handsome in person.

Thank you, he said smiling. We put a lot of work into it and it is kind of our test theater to see what works and what doesn't before we spend the money to implement things at the other theaters.

That makes a lot of sense, she said at a loss for something to say.

He laughed and turned away to turn on some more lights. So tour obviously here is the concessions and the the theaters are down that hall way. If you come this way we will take the stairs and I will show you the offices up there. A lot of our head staff offices are here including Luke, Bill, Vincenzo, Tim and my office is here as well. Most of the other head staff work primarily from their homes and come in for meetings.

Patrick then showed her where everyone's offices were, the staff room, where the projectors are held. And this room, he said stopping in front of a closed door, is yours. 

Emelia smiled as he opened the door and flipped on the light. The room was small but perfect for what she would need. There was a solid wood desk in the middle of the room with a computer, phone and printer on it and two chairs on the other side. This I'd wonderful she said stepping into the room.

I'm glad you like it. If there is anything more you need you can purchase it and just turn the receipts into Vincenzo. Your computer information is in the folder in the desk and Bill will be in a little later to show you how to run the projectors and everything that that entails. I'll leave you be to look over all the information and get set up on the computer. If you need anything I'll be in my office for a couple hours so just give me a holler.

He smiled at her, please call me Patrick he said before leaving the room.
