I collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. "Fire magic is so hard to control." I panted.

"You defiantly need more practice. I'll help you." Ash said to me.

Ash is my sister. Her full name is Ashllin but she doesn't like it. We both have shoulder length hair, but hers is blonde and mine is dyed dark blue. Our eyes are unique. Hers are gray with specks of amber in them while mine are violet with hazel in them. We are also both Sixteen. Ash spoke again.

"Shade, you're just starting with your elemental powers so don't go hard on yourself. It will get easier once you learn all four of the elements. You'll get better, "she paused, "hopefully."

"Thanks Ash for that really helpful comment. That makes me feel sooo much better. The way I'm going, I won't have enough power to defeat the necromancer that kills the land and Alturas, the unseelie king. I'm just not......... as powerful as I need to be."

I sighed. Kaiden came in then and told us that we needed to see Captain Ryland of the Seelie court for our armor.

"Thanks Kaiden. Tell him we'll be there in a few." Ash said, not noticing that Kaiden was looking at her with longing. Or did she. I'll have to speak to her about it.

Kaiden sighed knowing that she didn't return the feelings."Alright. I'll tell him."He turned to leave.

"Kaiden, can you come here for a second?" I asked.

"Yeah."

When he got over to me I whispered,"Don't worry. I'll talk to her."

He looked relieved. "Thanks. You don't want to know how happy that makes me."

"You're welcome. Now go and tell the Captain that we'll be there."

"Alright, bye. See you in a few."

"Bye." Ash mumbled.

After a few more minutes of hardcore fire training, we went to see Ryland. As we walked down the hall, we noticed that the walls were turning black. I sighed.

"We need to get rid of the poison in the palace before everything else."

"That's nice." She mumbled.

"You're thinking about the prince aren't you?" I smiled when she blushed.

"Maybe. Maybe not." She started walking fast. I just stood there trying not to laugh.
