chapter 1

I finally have them. The keys to freedom. i wont let him have me....or this parasite in me. I sighed and threw a stone against the wall beside my "bed". I heard a BOOM and then then before i could react, the alarm system went off. I flinched but pressed my ear against the door. I heard men shouting the distance and the sound of a scuffle.

I had no  way of knowing what was on the other side of that door but i pressed the key into the lock and was relieved to hear it click. I smiled and ran out of the door. As i dashed through halls, i was surprised that i didnt run into any soldiers. "Must be at the fight. I need to get out of here. Now". 

A few turns and an accidental left led me right to the fight. I paused and watched, shocked, as five heroes fought Slade's soldiers. Some of the men mustve noticed and came at me. I dodged his arms and landed a kick against the middle of his back and he went down. I heard something zip past me and looked to see a redhaired teenage girl in a purple outfit, advancing towards me. I glared and got ready to dodge her attacks but instead a boy in a red and green outfit snatched me inside an net. One of them punched the side of my head and i was out.

"Beastboy, i want you to stand guard by the bed as Cyborg prepares the Ivs and Scanners. Raven, Starfire, and i are going to check the crime scanner, make sure it wasnt damaged in the fight". A male ordered and the others obeyed. I felt him stand at my shoulder and another jabbed some needles into my arms, the Ivs and whatever a scanner was. I wanted to scream and fight but my body wouldnt obey nor eyes would open. One of them told the other to leave, to go help the others. "Are you sure Cyborg? What if she wakes up?" He questioned. "I got it covered. See those cuffs on her wrists? I scanned them earlier and it showed me that those cuffs arent just an accessory. Theyre power restraints. Whatever her power is, she cant use them while those cuffs are on her hands". The one named Cyborg answered.  Beastboy sounded shocked when he gasped. " Its alright B. Go help Robin and the others".

Maddie internally jumped when she heard Cyborg start talking. To HER. "I know you can hear me. I didnt give you too high of a dose. Judging by the necklace, im guessing your name is Maddie?" He said, and gave her a shot of something and before she knew it, she could open her eyes. " Better? Figured youd wanna see. Robin will want to question you once my drug wears off anyways, so might as well see. She blinked and he smirked. "Im guessing thats a thank you". He sighed and started pressing on a screen on his wrist. "Youre vitals seem fine, but for some reason i cant access any other scans. What exactly is your power?" He asked and she stared at him. "You can talk to me sweetheart. Whatever Slade did to you, isnt going to happen again. Now please, tell me why you have those on your wrists." He asked again and sounded tired. I smiled faintly. "My gorgeous little prisons keep me from accessing my electricity. Its a danger to myself and to others. But i wont hesitate to knock the hell out of the next person to touch me." I whispered and he looked surprised that i had answered. He just looked at me and then down at my wrists and bruised knuckles. " Thank you for telling me. But i still dont understand. Why did Slade want you"? He asked and i closed my eyes for a minute, contemplating telling him. Its not that i had any maternal feelings for this worm inside, but they might hold it against me or kill me on the spot. And who would blame them? As if reading my thoughts, he chuckled and gently touched my left hand. I jerked it away with a hiss and glared. " Nothing bad will happen to you." He promised. "How can you be so sure?" I snarled and he chuckled again. "Because Robin wouldnt allow it. And because we are not a group of killers." He answered and stood up. "Once he hears about me, he'll want to." I whispered. "Oh, and by the way Maddie, Robin would never kill a pregnant female either". He called over his shoulder and walked out of the room, leaving me restrained to the table and in shock.

I hope yall are enjoying the story. Tbh, im a little unsure about this story, but like an awesome reader said in the comments, there really isnt enough stories with Cyborg being the main love interest. So im going to keep writing, and do my absolute best at making this one hell of a story💕
