Forgotten goodbye ("How do you say your name in Greek?")

I put my film camera back into my bag when I had captured this moment of happiness.
Barefoot on the sand we were running towards loud waves of the Pacific Ocean
They made us dance
Who could think of that before?
Standing in the middle of a dream, in the middle of a future memory
Between the water and your words
Life brings people unexpectedly like the rain in the middle of July afternoon
I used to think it doesn't
The circle of infinity events spins around to bring sacred meaning to life
It's past 5pm, April Cannon Beach,
the sun almost touches the water like a brush of yellow watercolor
At that moment I saw your figure in the middle of mist on the other side of the beach among your friends.
But I could clearly see your bright green sweatshirt
With every step forward I heard your voice louder and louder
"How do you say your name in Greek?"
Green eyes and blond curly hair
And a goodbye I didn't say
