Train rides were always long, but I didn't mind them. It was a good way to catch up with everyone before we got to school, but even then they did get boring sometimes. We were able to chat for most of the beginning of the ride, but even then one can only talk for so long. Most of the train ride is spent in silence or sleeping, playing child games, or just sitting with your own thoughts.

I sat directly across from Theo at a table, Pansy sitting next to him and Blaise next to her in the isle seat. I sat in the window seat, Draco next to me, and Daphnee next to him. I always loved the window seat so I could stare out the window and watch as we passed all the trees. The cool air hitting the window always mesmerized me.

We all talked for about an hour and a half of the train ride until the conversation died down and our area went quiet. Most of us kept to ourselves for a bit, the occasional conversation here and there. Theo and I kept talking for almost an hour after everyone else had stopped, talking in a whisper careful not to wake anyone who had already fallen asleep.

The conversation was random, just speaking about anything and catching up on everything from over break, or everything that I wanted to mention, until the conversation started to die down and we just stared at each other in the silence, listening to the light chatter from those around us. I rested my head on the window and began to watch outside, taking in the peace.

"Doesn't that get boring?" asked Theo, kicking my foot to get my attention. I only moved my eyes to look at him, a small smirk covering his lips as he waited for an answer.

"What?"

"Staring out the window. Doesn't it get boring, just having your thoughts? I noticed you've done it on every train ride since first year," he said. I was immediately shocked and jerked my head back slightly, surprise taking over my body.

"You remembered that from first year?" I said, a surprised tone. He chuckled.

"I remember that from every year, Kat," he said. He rested his foot on mine under the table and I had to hide my blush. I smiled a bit and looked back out the window. Why did I like it so much?

"It's peaceful," I said. "It's quiet, and I'm not trapped with my own thoughts, I just kind of . . . don't think. I just watched," I explained, still looking at the window. I could feel him staring at me and I was trying not to stare back, but eventually I gave in and looked over. His head was resting against the back wall, his arms crossed, and his feet still resting against mine under the table. He was just looking at me. I looked back, until I eventually did fall asleep, my head against the window, arms in my lap, sitting next to Draco.

"Rina," said Draco rocking my shoulder to wake me up.Hours has passed and the bright light from the window hit my eyes quickly. It took me a minute to adjust as I looked at him in a squint. "Want to go get sweets with me from the trolly? Maybe torment a few people along the way? I know where Potter is sitting," he said excitedly.

"Sure," I laughed out. "Just give me a second." I looked around to see what everyone else had been doing. Theo was still sitting directly across from me, his head resting back as he slept. Pansy next to him, her head on his shoulder, also asleep.

When did her head get on his shoulder? I don't care, but it wasn't like that when I fell asleep--

"Let's go," said Draco, pulling me up. Blaise had to stand to let us out, so he let out a dramatic sigh as we walked out of the compartment. As soon as the door shut, Draco turned to me. "Did your parents tell you? About what's happening this year at school?" asked Draco as we walked.

My brows furrowed. "No? What are you talking about?"

He looked taken aback by this. "They didn't tell you?"
