"Um, Beautiful," I bit my lip and looked at the ground sheepishly, "I have a question to ask you."

"What, Baywatch?" She sighed.

"Well, Artemis, do you remember the, kiss we, shared, at new year's?" Artemis looked away quickly. I think I saw her cheeks get red. "Did it, mean anything to you?" For a little while we just sat there, her looking at the sea and me looking at her blonde hair.

I sighed after a little while and mumbled, "guess it's a no." I stood up and started to walk away. A warm hand grabbed mine and pulled me down. I stared into her silver eyes until I tasted her strawberry lips on mine. I hugged her waist as her hand got stuck in my hair.

Soon, she pulled away and smiled at me. "Was that a good enough answer for you, Baywatch?" She laughed at my dreamy face and said to herself, "guess it was."

"It sure was, Beautiful," I smiled, "it sure was." She stood up and pushed my legs apart. She sat in between them with her back facing my chest. I held her hands and kissed the top of her head. The moonlight was gleaming in the water, but there was something else in that water tonight. Something special. Something that reminded me of something a good friend once told me.

"Some free advice before you leave. Get your own little spitfire, one who won't let you get away with nothing." Those were the last words I heard from Kent Nelson.

I felt Artemis' body relax against mine as she leaned on me. I smiled and carried her, bridal style, in through the zeta-tubes.

"Recognized, Artemis-B07. Kid Flash-B03." Even at the robotic voice, Artemis didn't stir. I walked into her room. I laid her down onto her bed and laid her green covers gently onto her. I sat on the side of her bed, watching her peaceful face. Her face was even more beautiful like this, even though I didn't know something like that was possible.

Soon I yawned and stood up. Uncle Barry would have my head for staying up this late, but I didn't care. As long as I got to see Artemis. Before I closed her door, I whispered one last message to her.

"Goodnight, Baywatch," said her drowsy voice before he could say anything.

"Goodnight, Beautiful." He grinned. He whispered the last part so she couldn't hear, "my little spitfire."
