Dante isn't in bed when I wake up. I stretch out like a starfish and let out a small squeak. My hand comes up to my lips as I remember the events of last night. I wish I could go back to that moment. It was such a good kiss. I hope he feels the same.
I grab my phone off the nightstand and check the time. I have thirty minutes to get ready. I jump out of bed and head to the bathroom. I splash some cold water on my face and then dab it with a towel. I don't have a toothbrush, but thankfully he has some mouthwash.
With Dante sleeping next to me, that was the best sleep in my life. I didn't have any nightmares and I actually slept for a good five hours. I head out of the bathroom and grab my dress out from one of the bags. I take the tags off and throw it on Dante's bed.
I go to Dante's closet to search for deodorant. There is some on this shelf he has in here. Next to it, I find perfume. Does he bring multiple girls in here? A frown forms on my face. Well, I'm using it anyways I don't want to stink. I shake my head and go back to getting dressed.
After I have the dress on, I go back to the bathroom to figure out my hair. I love this dress on me. Where the white and black areas are on the dress, it makes me look like I do have somewhat of an hourglass figure. I decide to do a messy braid to side. I slip on my flats that I left outside the bathroom door.
I make my way downstairs, crossing my fingers Dante didn't leave without me. Dante isn't in the living room, so I check the kitchen. He's not there either. Hmm. I go outside to see if his car is there and it it isn't. I let out a frustrated sigh. Why did he leave without me? He could've woken me up.
I head back inside and let out a frustrated groan. I guess I can walk. I go upstairs and grab my jacket and then go back down. I bump into Lia at the bottom of the stairs.
"Oh hey girl," Lia greets me.
"Hey," I give her a smile.
"Do you wanna ride with me to the office?" She offers. I nod my head.
"Yes please. Dante left without me," I accept her offer. Lia just let's out a laugh.
"Yeah he can be an ass sometimes," Lia says as she opens the front door. I walk out and she follows behind me. We get in her car and head to work. During the car ride, Lia talks my head off. I don't respond that much cause I'm still not fully awake yet. Lia's one sided conversation makes the car ride go by fast.
We walk in the building together. I'm five minutes late by this point. I swear if Dante gets mad at me. He should've woken me up. Lia and I get on an elevator. Once she reaches her floor, we part ways. I get off on my floor and head to Dante's office. I knock twice and wait. I don't get a response, so I just walk in.
I wish I hadn't because I interrupt Dante's make out session with some girl I've never seen before. They both pause and look at me. This is so awkward. It feels like a jab to the heart.
"Oh I'm sorry Mr. Salvatore. I'll just wait out here for you," I talk really fast as my cheeks flush red. I turn on my heal and walk out of his office. After his door is shut behind me, I let out a long sigh. I start pacing the hallway. Is that his girlfriend? He kissed me last night though. Maybe it's just a fling. Am I just a fling to him too? My heart breaks a little. We we weren't together or anything, but I was starting to trust him.
I end up sitting in a chair by someone's desk next to the elevators while I wait. Thirty minutes have gone by and I've gotten to know a few people on this floor. All of them seem terrified of Dante. I guess I can see why. He has a short temper.
I've been talking to a woman named Emma and a guy named Damon. They are super nice and have lived in New York there whole lives. They said they would show me around when we were all free. The two of them put me in a better mood after seeing Dante kiss another girl.
Finally, the girl comes out and waits for the elevator. I stand up and say goodbye to Damon and Emma and they wish me luck. I head to Dante's office and walk in. He's in the middle of buttoning his shirt which leaves me slightly gaping at him. Oh lord he is so hot.
"I'm sorry about earlier," I mutter out. Dante just glances at me and continues getting redressed. I sigh and take a seat by his desk.
"You're late," Dante decides to talk, "and you forgot my coffee." He turns around from me and I roll my eyes.
"Well someone left without me and didn't even bother to wake me up," I snap back at him. He turns back around to face me and sends me a warning glare.
"And if you have a girlfriend, you shouldn't of kissed me last night," I snap again. Dante just let's our a snort.
"She's not my girlfriend," is all he says. So he just goes around kissing every single woman he can? Well he won't be doing so with me anymore. I don't respond to him. Why is he acting so cold all of a sudden?
