DarkLord: Will and The New Breed

chapter 1: The Chase

(Panting) Ahh ugghh ahh. I've gotta keep running or those things will get me. why do these things keep on happening to me, why can't life be simple I just wanted to see her.

The most beautiful girl I've ever seen, black hair that gives off the smell of of flowery scents, milk brown eyes that sucks you into an abyss of hypnotizing beauty you don't want to pull away from and and a smile that brightens up the room more than 1000 suns.

Now if only she knew my existance, would I feel as if my life has had its fill, maybe then would I not feel as though my life has been empty and being chased by theses creatures and possible death would not be so bad.

OK, enough messing around, I've gotta live to get noticed. Pushing down and and back with all my might I begin to go faster and feel lighter, the trees around me blur and the constant leaves crushing beneath my feet and the growls behind me are all I could hear.

Dodging left and right, but no end in sight; I may never live to see her again and trying to keep this up is taking too much energy.

From my left I can hear and growl and feel an advancing pounce coming my way, sending my hairs on my body up and muscles tensing; there is no escape from this, I am too slow.Thud! I am sent flying down a steep hill, rolling over and over until...Bang!

Ringing in my ears, the world around me begins to blur and slow down. I can see the creatures advancing on me, their every move ever so slow, yet, in seconds they will be on me. I wonder.....is this the end...will I die here....here...without seeing her face one last time?

The first one, slightly ahead of the other two slowly leaps into the air; my time is up, life is over. Just as it begin descending upon me, its claws towards me, this black figure flings out, smashing it towards the dark thick woods to my right, it at lightning speed it smacks into a thick tree truck, bursting into pieces like an apple. My eyes get heavy and I drift into a darkness that consumes me.
