What is the defining line of a hero?
The people they save or the origin story of pain and anguish?
Would you say a policeman, a firefighter, is as much of a hero as the ones that fly around in capes? Would you define a hero by the good they do or the way they are made into who they are?
You all know the drill-- a story of a superhero born from pain, brought up in trauma. They suffer, they strive on. They do their best to be the good guys, no matter the pressures and obstacles the world throws at them. To prevail as a beacon of hope to others who aspire to do the same.
Would you believe me if I told you I thought the same at one point?
Our trauma does not make us heroes. The struggles we face and overcome, doing the right thing even if everyone is doing wrong, doing our best and helping others when the world seems to neglect the very need to do so, is what makes us better--makes us heroes.
Anyone can be a hero, and for the longest time, I did not feel like I was one of them.
Salma Hayek as Izabella Spector
"I don't fight because I feel the need to punch someone.
I do it because they deserved that punch for what they did to someone else. "
Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector/ Steven Grant / Jake Lockley
"You left. If you were there, you would know. But you weren't, so don't try to tell me you knew exactly what happened. "
May Calamawy as Layla El-Faouly
All other characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in their respective roles.
(Politely ignore the fact that Salma Hayek plays Ajak on Eternals. I'm not very good at finding face claims for OC's.)
