Trials of the Knight Guardian.

Chapter 3.

3rd Pov:
& so, with 2 trials passed, our hero now arrives in his next universe.
However, the portal this time makes him drop 1000 feet into a big pile of hay with his feet up in the air.
It took a minute to get up, but his head pops out of the hay.

Y/n; "(spits out bits of hay) Well, at least I received a softer landing this time"

Once he got out of the pile, he checked the device on his wrist with the readout saying, "Remnant 475".

Y/n; "Ok, now what kind of situation do I need to fix this time?"

That's when he saw a farmer plowing his garden bed with a hoe.
So he approached the farmer, & asked him of what was going on in this universe of Remnant.

Y/n; "Excuse me, sir. I'm just passing through. Can you tell me about the general area?"

When the farmer lifted his head, up to 4, maybe 5 sets of dark circles developed under his eyes which meant that he hadn't been getting much sleep for a long time.
Plus, there was also an Aura dampening collar around his throat.

Y/n; "Oh, man. You don't look all that good. What happened?"

Farmer; "Haven't you heard? All citizens of Remnant are only allowed 1 hour of sleep per week"

Y/n; "(Ludicrously) WHAT?! (normal voice) That's... that's insane, & inhumane!"

Farmer; "Nothing we can do about it. The overlord demands that we all obey his laws, with no resistance, or he'll have any one of us thrown in his dungeon or executed right on the spot"

Y/n; "That heartless wretch! Is it also the reason you're wearing that collar?"

Farmer; "...The overlord doesn't want anyone else to have an Aura nor a Semblance, except himself"

Y/n; "...Where can I find him?"

Farmer; "You cannot be serious! Nobody has ever been able to challenge the overlord, & survived!"

Y/n; "That is, until today. Trust me, I've been through a lot worse than a mere overlord"

Farmer; "...Can it be that you are the savior sent to save us all?"

Y/n; "...It's possible. Right now, I need to know where he is"

Farmer; "...If you are our salvation, you can find him in his mansion over in Atlas"

Y/n; "Where the usual rich & powerful reside. Why am I not surprised? 🎶Trust in me, my farming friend. I'll bring enslavement to an end!🎵 "

& so, with the aid of Ruby's Semblance, our hero dashed off to the direction of Atlas!
He was running so fast, that not even oceans slowed him down.

Timeskip.

It took some time, but our hero managed to arrive in Atlas, the kingdom at least.
Right now, he was in the city of Mantle.
Everything looked very run down & not all that well maintained.
As he walked through the streets, he can see a significant amount of people looking very tired & wearing the same collar the farmer from before was wearing too.

Y/n; "...I don't understand. What happened here?"

He even saw soldiers in the same condition as the citizens.

Y/n; "Not even the military was spared. It's like this idiot wants to lead humanity to extinction"

Then, a hand grabbed him, & dragged him to an alley.
& our hero was surprised by who grabbed him.
