As Adam went through the portal, it felt like as if he were underwater. The feeling didn't last long, however as he landed on a cold, jagged surface. Opening his eyes, he saw that he was in the exact same cave, except there was something different. There were more crystals in the cave than usual, and they were more than blue crystals. There was red crystals and white crystals as well. Blue particles floated in the air, and there were strange sounds coming from the distance. "You okay?" Someone asked above him. Adam looked up and saw Michael standing over him. Michael grabbed his arm and pulled him up. Joseph and Carlos came over, and they were silent for a moment as they looked at the world around them. "It looks exactly like the vision I had..." Adam said. "So... this is where the Gootrax came from? I'd never thought I'd be here, but here we are." Carlos said. Adam pulled out a notebook and started writing down notes, while whispering to himself "Fascinating..."

"So, everyone got their weapons?" Joseph asked. Carlos got out a Colt Python from his bag and presented it to Joseph. "Alright... going with a revolver. Michael, what did you get?" Joseph said. Michael pulled something out his bag and showed it to Joseph. "And you chose a... knife. Alright, looks like I'm going to have to do the heavy lifting." Joseph said as he put his bag onto the floor, pulling out a sawed-off double barrel shotgun out of it. 'Woah, woah. How come you get the shotgun, and we get these?" Carlos asked. Joseph shrugged and said, "Because you chose a revolver, and a knife, I chose the shotgun. Nobody was stopping you from getting one." Michael thought for a second, then said "Well... I just think that... whatever, let's just go." As they were about to leave, Adam asked "Hang on, I need something to defend myself as well, don't I?"

Joseph sighed and searched through his bag, pulling out a M1911 and giving it to him. "There, everyone happy? Great, let's go." Carlos said. As the four walked out the cave, they walked into the laboratory. Crystals were spread across the ceiling, walls, and floor in different areas. There was some flickering lights here and there, but all the other lights were broken.

They walked past the flooded area, with a mass amount have shark fins sticking out of the water. Shelfs were collapsed onto the floor, and the four were trying their very best not to slip. Joseph heard something splash in the water, then he told them to "Stop, I can hear something." Joseph raised his shotgun and aimed at the pool. Suddenly, a Gootraxian with the appearance of a shark jumped out the water and landed in front of him. The shark opened its mouth, revealing a set of sharp teeth, looking like it could easily rip limbs off in seconds. Joseph was dragged into the wat by it. He couldn't see a thing, and his gas mask was filling with water. The shark dragged him around even more. Joseph got weaker as he was rolled in the water, his mask eventually coming off. Joseph took a deep breath of air. The air was breathable. Seeing Joseph take in short, sharp breaths, Carlos, Adam, and Michael also took of their masks. "Joseph, the shark?!" yelled Carlos, pointing at the shotgun that was near the edge of the pool. Joseph waded his way over to it and picked it up. The shark leapt out of the water and scratched across his nose. The shark then dipped Joseph head under the water, attempting to drown him. Under the water, he could hear the distinct sound of a gunshot, then the shark let go of him. Joseph scrambled out of the pool and picked up his shotgun, shakily pointing the shotgun at the creature.

He turned to see Carlos lower his revolver, small wisps of smoke coming out from the barrel opening of the gun. They both looked at each other in silence, before then turning out after hearing heavy breathing noises coming from the water. The shark was holding the spot where it was shot, making occasional noises of pain as it breathed sharply. Joseph reluctantly raised his shotgun, before then lowering it and telling the others "Let's just... leave it, its nothing to really worry-" he was cut of by the sound of splashing water. The Shork was making its way towards them, its razor sharp teeth glinting in the little light of the room. Joseph then quicky raised his shotgun again, and aimed it at the shark just before it could grab him.
