To Potter

A week later I was walking across the entrance hall with Mi-yeong, when we saw a knot of people including the golden trio. "What's going on?" I say as I came towards them, "A dueling club! First meeting tonight." Hermione says. "We going to go?" I asked Mi-yeong. "Hell yes!" she says.

We waited until 8 O'clock and went to the great hall to see a large stage. The enchanted roof black and most of the students packed under it. Lockhart entered with Snape and I immediately sighed and rolled my eyes. Lockhart waved for silence. "Gather around! Gather around! Now, professor Dumbledore has allowed us to male this little dueling club, to train." Lockhart said and I rolled my eyes. "Let me introduce my assistant." Lockhart continues flashing annoying smile. "Now a short demonstration. Now, I don't want any of you youngsters to worry- you'll still have you potions master when I'm through with him, never fear!" He says. "I'd prefer if they finished each other off." I whisper to Mi-yeong as she playfully smacks me on the shoulder. 

Lockhart and Snape moved to opposite sides of the golden stage, Lockhart  and Snape then bowed at eachother and raised their wands like swords in front of them. "Our wand are being held in combat position!" Lockhart said.' "On three, we'll cast our first spells. Not aiming to kill." He continued. "Obviously." I say rolling my eyes. "One - two - three!" Lockhart shouted as Snape immediately shouted. "Expelliarmus!" There was a flash of scarlet light and Lockhart  flew back. Lockhart unsteadily get back up, looking messier. "That was a disarming charm!" "Let's split up into teams. Potter and Malfoy." I looked at malfoy across the room and we glared at each other.

We started fighting sending spells back and forth. "Serpensortia!" Malfoy said and a cobra came out of his wand. It slithered towards one of the Hufflepuff boys, Justin. "Back off" Me and Harry say in unison as everyone glares at us, and steps back. As we said the serpent backed off and  Snape turned it to ashes. "Back to you dorms!" Snape says and we all walk towards the entrance and go to our dorms. "You're a parselmouth?!" Mi-yeong says as we left the great hall. "Excuse me? A what?" I say as my eyebrows furrow. "A parselmouth." She repeats. "And that is?" I say stil very confused. "You can speak to snakes." She says rolling her eyes. "Yeah. I know." i said "I spoke to them all the time at baeuxbaton." I say. "you did?" She said faintly. "Yeah. I'm sure many people can." I say shrugging "No they don't. This is really bad." Mi-yeong says her eyebrows furrowing in worry. "What do you mean bad? If I hadn't told that snake to back off of Justin..." I began saying as Mi-yeong interupted. "So that's what you said." "Yes you were there you heard me say it." I say. "No I heard you speak parseltongue." she says. "I spoke another language?!" I say a little too loud. "Yes, you did." She said rolling her eyes. "Salazar Slytherin was the only one able to speak it." She continues. "So people are going to think you and Harry are his great-great-great-great grandchildren or something..." Her eyebrows furrow as her voice fades at the end of her sentence. "But we're not." I say in an annoyed fashion. "And how do you plan to prove that nitwit?" She says as we walk back to our dorms.

That night I lay awake for hours. I mean we could be, after all we have no family left to trace it back to. I ended up putting on warmer clothes and sitting by the fire thinking. Is that why I was sorted into Slytherin? All I knew is that Harry and I were in for a rough year. 

A/N: What do y'all think will happen next. and yes ik Malfoy hasn't been in many chapters, but I promise he'll be in the next one, just bear with me.  oh and sorry for the short chapter (:
