(6) Movie "Date"

2 weeks later

Vincent's PoV.

I open my door to smell something being cooked. Mmm it smells so good. I walk sleepily to the kitchen to find Phen cooking waffles, bacon, and eggs. His bangs were clipped back and he was wearing an apron. I felt my heart skip a beat.

He looked nice with his hair to the side like that. I put my hand to my face, trying to shake the gay thoughts out of my head. "Morning sleepy head," I replied with a lazy groan, making my way to the coffee pot. As I let the coffee do it's thing I sat down at the table.

I put my arms out crossed on the table, then laying my head in them. I'm so tired. Phen set a plate of food infront of me, "so, I was thinking since I don't have work tonight we should watch a movie. Like a little movie night." He grinned while seating himself next to me.

"Sure, that sounds nice." I mumbled. Me and Phen have been roommates long enough to be good friends actually. He's  not all too bad. "Okay, I'll go get snacks later." He grinned, he was being awfully nice. I take a bite of my maple covered waffles.

"What's got you in such a good mood today?" I say trying not to choke on my food. "I don't know, it's my day off." I brush it off, as I'm too tired to find it out. "Speaking of day off, where do you work in the first place?"

My comment on his job seemed to make his face drop. "O-oh, uhm, just like a bar." He stuttered out. "Oh, maybe we could go get drinks sometime, maybe throw a free one in there ay?" I teasingly hussled him for free drinks. "NO!" He blurted out. I was taken aback.

"Oh, I'm sorry... I was just kidding." My face dropped as I stared at what was left of my breakfast. "Fuck, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you." He repeatedly apologized for yelling at me. I told him it was OK but he gave me an extra piece of bacon as an "apology gift."

"I was gonna get another piece anyways, but thanks?" I looked at the piece of bacon confused. Could've gotten me free drinks instead. "Shit it's almost 11, I have to go get ready. And I have some err... Errands." He was being oddly suspicious, I wonder what's up with him?

I was sat on the couch after Phen had left the apartment. I wonder what errands he had to run. I flipped through NotFlicks, not finding anything interesting. It's so boring here sometimes, I thought to myself. Well I guess I could run some errands myself. I got up and roamed to my room.

I grabbed an outfit, consisting of shades of browns and black. After I was clothed and ready. I grabbed my spare key and walked out the door. Okay, first, stop at work to get some stuff. Next, go to the grocery store, get coffee. and last but definitely not least, go home and lay down.

I wondered when Phen was gonna be home and when he wanted to watch the movie. Guess I'll find out sooner or later.

I finished my grocery shopping and errands. I start on my long vast journey home. I really need a car. I was spacing out when I see my roommate walking out of a different apartment. His hair was a little messier than his usual straight, sleek hair. "Hey Phen!" I waved over to him.

He looked panicked to fix his hair and his clothes. "Oh uhm hey. Funny seeing you here." He giggled nervously. "I mean I'm on the way home. Where'd you come from?" I asked, looking at the building he walked out off.

"Oh uhm just a friend's place..." His face was tinted with a light hue of pink. "Oh your hairs a little messy. Let me get it." I reached my hand up and fixed his hair for him. It was really soft despite its sleek, greasy look.

"Thanks," he nervously giggled again. "Yea, you headed home?" I questioned him. "No  not yet. Still have to get snacks. Wanna come along?" He offered. I held my bag of coffee, "I was just there but I guess I'll join you." I smiled at him. "OK, let's get going then," he smiled back. And we started on our way.
