Note that only Tala belongs to me.

Also, Gregory will be aged 12 years old in this story. Since his true age is not specified, I will go with 12 because it's one of my favorite numbers :D.

The words "STARTING UP", followed by "SAFE MODE" scrolled across the screen as Freddy started up again.

"Showtime already?! I am experiencing a malfunction. The recharge cycle is not complete," he said to himself.

"Shhh! Will you shut up?!" came an unknown voice.

"Who said that?" Freddy asked, startled.

"I did! I'm down here!"

"Down where? I still do not see you," Freddy said, looking around.

"Okay, listen, you were sleeping so I opened the stomach hatch and climbed inside."

"My stomach hatch?" Freddy asked, slightly horrified. "That place is reserved for oversized birthday cakes and piñatas! It's not a safe play area!"

Freddy turned around just as his stomach hatch opened and a kid about 12 years old slid out and jumped down.

"There you are," Freddy said, picking him up. Then with his eyes, he scanned him before putting him down. "Scanning complete. How odd. Your guest profile is unknown to me. Who are you?"

"I-I'm Gregory," the boy said, edging closer.

"Gregory. I will notify the main office," Freddy said. But after a bit, he stated, "Huh, connection error. I cannot connect to the main network."

"It's her. She cut you off. She's not going to let you call for help until she finds me," Gregory hissed.

"Who? Who is looking for you? Your mother?" asked Freddy.

"Shh! I hear footsteps."

With that, Gregory rushed to the curtained window on the other side of the room. Vanessa walked by just outside Freddy's green room.

"That is the security guard. She can help!" Freddy exclaimed.

"No! No, I don't trust her!" Gregory argued.

"Why not?" Freddy asked, confused.

"I don't know who she is, but she's trying to get me. Isn't there some other way for you to communicate with me besides talking so loudly?" Gregory grumbled, turning back to Freddy.

"Take this. It is a novelty Freddy Fazwatch," Freddy said as his stomach hatch opened once again. Inside was a giftbox with a handle on the side. Gregory turned it until it popped open with a happy jingle. Inside, as Freddy promised, was a watch shaped like Freddy.

The watch beeped several times as soon as Gregory got it. "What was that?" he asked, startled.

"I'm sending you an encoded message," Freddy replied.

Gregory quickly opened his Fazwatch, and under New Messages, was a message titled Hello Gregory:

"Hello, Gregory. It is me, Freddy. I will escort you to the main entrance. However, I am unable to leave this room. You should have no problem. There is a button on the wall that will open the door to the back room. I will make it accessible to you now," the watch droned in the voice of Freddy.

Gregory quickly turned off the watch, then looked towards the back wall. There was indeed a door in the back and right next to the door and the arcade machine stationed in the other corner, was a glowing green button with the shape of Freddy's head on it. As soon as he pressed it, the back door slid open.

"Well done, Gregory. There is an open air vent inside the maintenance room. You will have to climb through the ventilation system and release me from the outside."

"Alright then, I'll be back soon," Gregory promised. "Thanks Freddy."

"No problem Superstar."
