We walk to Nick's room “ she's with me ” I told the bodyguards so they can let Clara in “ I really miss him ” I said walking towards Nick
“ w ................wat.......er” Nick struggle to say
“ oh my God Nick you're awake ” I said shocked
“ I'll get the water ” Clara said and I run to Nick's side
“ calm down Nick. ... She's bringing the water .......oh my God I'm so happy you're awake ” I said excited as I hold his hand
“ here ” she hand me the water and I gently help him drink from it
“ are you okay?” I asked looking at him
“ the doctors are on their way ”
“ thanks Clara ” I turn to Nick “ how do you feel are you okay?”
“ are you hurt ?” he asked
“ yeah I'm hurt I broke my head can't you see ?" I said sarcastically making him laugh “ do I look hurt ”
“ I'm sorry ” he laughs but he's struggling to laugh “ then if you're okay I'm okay ” he said making me hug him with tears dropping from my eyes
“ don't ever do that again ” I said and he just kept quiet one hand holding me to him and then the doctor walked in and two nurse , both Clara and I just look as they checked Nick
“ how do you feel Nick?”
“ I feel okay just pain where I got shot ” he said and the doctor nod “ so when do I get to go home?”
“ when your wound heals ”
“ oh goodness ” Nick said annoyed playing with his hands “ wait a minute........where is my ring ?” he said shocked that the ring is not really on his finger, honestly I did not notice
“ oh that we took it of during your surgery ” he said opening a cupboard and bring out the ring
“ thank you ” Nick said and put on the ring “ I'll never take this off ” he said and the doctor and nurses left
“ I want to go get coffee see you ” Clara said and left
“ won't you at least give me a kiss ” he said
“ you almost killed yourself because of me , do you want me to cry to death?”
“ well I love you " he said smiling like trying to change the subject
“ you almost killed me by taking the bullet ”
“ I'm sorry but I can't just watch you take the bullet and besides I'm already awake ta-da I'm pretty strong you know” he takes my hand and I hug him
“ I love you so much”
“ then at least show me by kissing me .....come on girl ” he said and I place a light kiss on his lip “ I really love your lip ” I smile resting my forehead on his hand
“ oh I stayed over at Jimmy last night, I can't stay in that big house alone I'm just a guest, so Clara gave me some clothes and I might stay till you get well enough to go home........are you okay with that?”
“ I don't care as long as you're comfortable.......that explain how you know Clara and you guys came together” he said and I just smile “ Jimmy is my best friend he'll treat you nicely don't worry”
