In the Rain

Four

     For the past few weeks, Sirius and I have been Ignoring each other which was fine.

    I was sitting on the floor in the common room James was braiding my hair again "where did you learn to braid hair, Jamie?" I asked

   "My Mom"

"it is cool by the way, I don't know any other boys who can braid hair let alone french braid."

"I suppose it's kind of cool, Alright I'm done," he said looking over my hair "cool thanks," I said "well night Rain," James said "Good night Jamie," I said walking to the stairs.

The next morning I woke up to water being sprayed on my face "ah" I screamed I opened my eyes to find Alice and Marlene on the floor rolling around and laughing "what the heck!"

"That was payback for when you pulled me out of bed"

"This was worse" I grumbled before getting out of bed and going into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror my hair was dripping wet and I looked like a corpse, I quickly put on some light makeup slapped my cheeks a few times to add some colour to them, and changed into my uniform before going down to breakfast. When I got down to the great hall I saw that most people were already awake which was weird since I was usually up early.

"Hey, Raina sleep well."  I look up to see Peter sitting at the table.

"oh, I slept well, you?"

"same"

Peter and I were just mutual friends through Remus and Jamie, there's always been a bit of awkward tension when it's just the two of us.

Thankfully Remus came through the doors and walked over to us

"Hey Remmy sleep ok?" I ask

  "yeah, I slept well."

Remus and I talked about a book he was reading and it sounded really interesting, as I was listening I felt a pair of hands go over my eyes I knew who It was because Sirius does this to annoy me every morning,

"guess who" Sirius's voice says

"hmmm Marlene?" I say sarcastically

"you got it wrong again Rainbow it's Sirius," he says,

"and I thought I was right this time" 
He sits down next to Remus and starts eating

"so your book?" I ask to start up our conversation again but I find myself staring at Sirius, I shake my head and turn back to Remmy.

After breakfast, I go up to my room to find all three of the girls gone, they must have gone to class early I look up at the clock it's almost 8:00 I walk down a few corridors before deciding to skip Remus will cover for me anyway.

  I turn around and go up to my dorm and grab my guitar and Jamies invisibility cloak I throw it over me and my guitar and start walking down towards my tree when I get there I take the cloak off and sit on the ground I start strumming Old fashioned loverboy a muggle song I like it seemed like only a few minutes before I hear foots steps I look up to see Remus walking towards me

"thought I'd find you here," he says sitting down next to me

  "I just didn't feel like going to class today."

"I guessed as much, I covered for you." I look up at him

"Thank you" I whisper laying my head on his shoulder as he lays his head on mine

"Remmy, does Sirius hate me?" I ask after a while, he looks at me a small smile playing on his lips  "No I don't think he does"

"then why does he act like that, one day he's my friend then the next he's my worst nightmare."

"I don't really know, do you want me to ask him,"

I think about It before shaking my head

"no I think it would come better from Jamie because he and Jamie are closer friends," I say

"ok, well its lunchtime," he says standing up he turns and extends his hand out to mine I take it and he pulls me up, we all in silence up to the castle

"I need to put my guitar back I'll meet you down here." I say

"ok see you later".

I take my guitar back up to my dorm as well as return James's Cloak I'll have to thank him for that later.
