The sun had not risen yet, but Liam wasn't taking any more chances at dreaming. Finally after calming down, Liam did the only thing he could think of, investigate the school.

The entire school was dark. An air about the place made it feel haunted. Every step sounded amplified. Small noises could be made out in the distance. Things felt like they were stalking him. Liam started to regret his decision now.

It took a couple of minutes, but Liam got his bearings back and went up the stairs. The sun started to rise. It was a truly beautiful sight on the high tree top.

"It really is a pretty view, Liam," Marisa spoke.

"Oh, your awake?" Liam asked with surprise in his voice.

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep well. I was thinking about what I did to Troy," Marisa said.

"Why? What did you do," Liam questioned.

"A few years ago Troy was in a bad relationship, but he didn't realize, so I decided I had to intervene. I used my power to make her love someone else. He never forgave me, and I never forgave myself. My ability isn't a gift; it's a curse," Marisa said this with a small tear running down her cheek.

"That's not that bad. Even if he doesn't realize it, you did a good thing. Just please stop crying, your going to make me start crying, and I hate to cry," Liam tried his best to say this with an upbeat tone, despite it being early in the morning.

"Okay, I'll try. Thank you, I needed to hear that," Marisa said this as she was still sobbing.

They both leaned against the railing and watched the sun rise high into the sky. It was a light show of beautiful oranges, golds, yellows, pinks, greens, and blues. There was no way to properly encapsulate its beauty. It was so simple, yet it was one of the most gorgeous sights in any world.

"Well, we should probably head to the first class of the day soon," Liam said.

"Yeah, just one more minute," Marisa said.

The pair started towards the first class of the day. When they got there, they were greeted with their teacher.

This teacher was at least seven feet tall. He had beard which almost touched the floor; however, his hair was fairly short. Long, ripped robes covered the man.

"Hello, students. I'm Professor Mannkealer, but you can just call me Paul," Paul stated in a tone which one might associate with Santa Clause. The students said hello to their new teacher and went to find a seat.

When more students showed up, Paul started to explain what this class was.

"This class is meant to teach you how to better use your gift. I will go through and ask you your name and gift," Paul began to list off the names of the people in that class. Marisa, Jonah, and Layla were all called on with a few other students. "Liam," Paul finally said.

"I'm not entirely sure what my gift is, but if this helps, I'm Liam Becket." After Liam said this, Paul made a kind of gasp and continued.
They didn't do much that class besides becoming more introduced to what gifts can do and the dangers they possess.

This continued throughout the day. Dr. Dolly, the potions teacher, gave a similar introduction to her class. She was very short with long blonde hair.

There was Groundskeeper Jim who taught about different creatures in the lands. He was of average height with scratchy, rugged features.

Another teacher was Mr. Gregor who taught survival skills. He was of above average height with slight curls in hair and a long coat covering his body.
