"And then I took her back to her place. It was awesome, she's so much cooler outside of the Bellas, even though I think she's still pretty awesome during rehearsal of course." Stacie said as she recapped her 'date' with Aubrey to Beca.

"That's great Stace," Beca said distractedly as she moved her finger in a circle on the table. They were currently at a coffee shop catching up with each other, despite seeing each other every day during rehearsal they still didn't get to talk about everything that they really wanted to.

"Hey what's up?  You seem out of it." Stacie asked her friend, "nothing, it's just, well...Chloe kinda asked me out and, well, I'm dating Jesse, of course, I'm going to break up with him because we're not really working out. But, I don't know how." Beca expressed her distress, and Stacie made an understanding face.

"I see, well Bec, there's only one way to break up with someone, you just rip off the band-aid. He'll understand." Stacie said, "I just don't want to hurt his feelings, he's a sweet guy and-"

"No!" Stacie abruptly interrupted Beca, causing the shorter woman to jerk back in shock, "you never stay in a relationship to preserve someone else's ego. If a relationship is, mentally, physically, or emotionally unhealthy and unsafe for you, you leave. There's no if, ands, or buts about it." Stacie said sternly.

"Ok, I get it. I'll talk to him tonight." Beca settled.

True to her word, at 6 pm, Beca found herself outside of Jesse's dorm, she knocked before she could talk herself out of it and waited for the boy to answer. "Hey babe." Jesse said as he opened the door, "hey." Beca said quietly, "what's up?" Jesse asked as he opened the door wider, silently inviting her in. She stepped through the threshold and looked around, noting that Benji, Jesse's roommate, was gone.

"I'm just going to rip the band-aid like Stacie said to." Beca said, more to herself than to the other person in the room, "which is?" Jesse asked as he sat on his bed, Beca stayed standing, pacing a little as she pulled on her thumbs, cracking her knuckles.

"I'm breaking up with you..." she answered, "w-what? Why!? Did do I do something?" Jesse sprung up, "no, it's just-"

"Did you meet someone else?" Jesse asked, a little anger slipping through his voice, "no-well-no! I didn't, I've felt like we weren't working out before coming to college, and well, now, now I have the courage to say something." Beca said, "you can't break up with me, we're high school sweethearts." Jesse frowned.

Beca groaned, "we're not in a movie Jesse! This isn't your favorite romcom where the high school couple stay together until they die! This is real life, where real shit happens, and the real truth is that I'm not attracted to you...I may have never been, I'm still figuring things out-my point is, we're over." Beca said fervently. Jesse's face shifted as he realized what Beca may be alluding to.

"Beca...if you're gay I can fix you." he said calmly, "w-what?" Beca stammered as she backed away, "this is just a college girl phase Beca, I'll help make you normal again." Jesse took Beca's hands in his, "get away from me you jackass!" Beca pulled her hands back.

"Beca, you're sick! This is an illness. But luckily, I still love you and I'll help you get through this." Jesse said a lot less calmer, "luckily? Fuck you, if anything I'm unlucky to have dated you in the first place." Beca said as she stormed out of the man's room.

Jesse was the last person Beca would have thought to be homophobic, but at least now she knows, and will happily stay away from him.

Beca walked around the campus, texting Stacie to let her know the deed was done. When she cooled off a bit and felt she had walked far enough, she sat on a bench, taking in the scenery. "Hey." a voice came from beside her as Chloe walked up to her, sitting down next to her, "sup?" Beca looked at the woman beside her.

Chloe looked as radiant as ever, with her bright eyes and beaming smile. Beca couldn't help but to crack a small smile, "what?" Chloe looked at Beca with furrowed brows, "nothing, just-I broke up with Jesse!" Beca said before she could stop herself, Chloe's eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"Oh?" she asked, Beca nodded, "I'm sorry, are you ok?" Chloe asked, this made Beca smile. Of course Chloe would want to make sure Beca's ok. "Yeah, I'm...I'll be ok." Beca said lowly, "what's wrong?" Chloe asked, sensing Beca's mood change. "It's just...remember that 3%?" Beca asked facetiously, Chloe chuckled, "yeah." she answered.

Beca shrugged, "well it feels a little bigger, and when I told Jesse he kinda shocked me with his response." Beca told the redhead, Chloe's face softened as she realized what Beca meant, "I'm so sorry, was this your first time mentioning it to someone?" she studied Beca, "yeah, outside of you." Beca said, "it sucks that's the first reaction you get, you deserve to be accepted for who you are." Chloe said kindly.

"Thanks Chlo, it means a lot." Beca smiled at the older woman, "of course." Chloe said easily.

The two found themselves wrapped in a comfortable silence as the two looked into each other's eyes. "Does your offer still stand?" Beca finally broke the silence, "what?" Chloe asked confused, "to hang out...go on a date?" Beca clarified, "oh. Yeah! If it's not to soon, I don't want you to rush in to anything if you're not ready, I-"

"Hey! I'm asking you. If I didn't feel ready I wouldn't be bringing it up." Beca stopped Chloe's rambles as she grabbed her hands, "ok, if you're sure, then let's do it." Chloe smiled brightly, and Beca found herself mirroring the action.

A/N: Woah, it's been a few months huh? But hey, I'm here! Anyways, I hope this little Bechloe moment with some sprinkled Steca did the thing to satisfy my absence. But yeah, 2k reads!? You people must be awesome to put up with my early day writing.

I did go back and updated my earlier chapters because I couldn't stand my terrible writing as I reread it. So have fun going back and rereading those.

-Yours truly, Nae
