Later that week during the weekend, Stacie found herself getting ready to take Aubrey out, she didn't know why she was so nervous. She as a friend was simply showing another friend, a cool place (that she may or may not, wanted to be considered as their place). She looked at her outfit one more time in her full-length mirror, which admittedly was a little small considering her height. She wore a simple white crop top that showed off her toned abs and did wonders for her chest, a pair of ripped black jeans, and a pair of air force ones. She nodded to herself before she walked out of her dorm room and called Aubrey.

"Hello? Aubrey Posen speaking." Stacie laughed a little at the formality before speaking, "this is Stacie Conrad speaking, I'll be approaching your abode at, 1500 o'clock." Stacie swears she heard a giggle on the other line before Aubrey cleared her throat, "ok, I'll be waiting." with that, the call ended, and Stacie made her way to the apartment, not too far off-campus.

Just as Stacie knocked on the door, Aubrey finished putting her shoes on. She remembered what Stacie said and wore something comfortable, a cute summer dress with flowers on it and a pair of tennis shoes.

Aubrey heard the knock and went to the door, "hey." Stacie said "hi." Aubrey said, as she took in Stacie's clothes, "hi." Aubrey said again this time looking at Stacie's chest. "My eyes are up here." Stacie winked, she knew this shirt was the best pick, "right uh sorry." Aubrey looked down as she blushed at the fact that she had been caught looking-well more like staring.

"Shall we go?" Stacie asked, "we shall." Aubrey nodded, exiting the apartment and locking the door behind her.

"So where are we going?" Aubrey asked once they had been walking for a bit and were almost off campus, "when I was younger my family lived in this area, no more then 20 minutes from the school, and naturally like a kid in the late 90's early 2000's, me and my brothers often went outside and explored weird places. One day we were playing and we came across this cool place." Stacie explained as she lead them down a trail that led into the woods.

She took Aubrey's hand and continued down the slightly tilted hill until they came to a beautiful spot at the bottom. There was a small lake surrounded by trees, and a small cave supported by boulders. Along with that was a blanket and a picnic basket on the ground.

"Tada! You like it?" Stacie held out her arms as if to show off the area, Stacie studied Aubrey's face and couldn't tell if she was shock or weirded out or what, suddenly feeling self-conscious Stacie started to ramble, "it's ok if you don't like it, we can leave and just forget about it. This was stupid I-" "I love it." Aubrey interrupted, "oh. Good!" Stacie relaxed a bit, "wanna sit?" Stacie asked, pointing to the picnic setup, "yeah." Aubrey said, following Stacie to the blanket.

Stacie opened the basket and pulled out some of the food, "I brought wine, red and white. I didn't know which you preferred, I got some fruit and then I got tacos because I remember you saying that if you were gonna have a cheat day you would eat tacos from that food truck on the pier at the beach." Stacie said, "the beach is like an hour away, did you drive there?" Aubrey asked, "I mean yeah, why not. I already bought $40 wine." Stacie shrugged, "and you got my order right!" Aubrey said when she took a bite out of the taco, "of course, sautéed peppers with grilled chicken on a toasted tortilla, extra salsa and queso, hold the guac." Stacie recalled.

The two ended up sitting there talking for a couple hours and even watched the sun set. "Wow! So you're the youngest of five, the only girl, and one of two who graduated high school as a valedictorian, class president and prom queen." Aubrey was shocked to say the least, when she first met Stacie she didn't think she was that kind of person.

"Yeah, I like to think my dad would have been proud. All my brothers were old enough to live without an adult when my dad passed, so he got to see most of their accomplishments and they got a chance to really live knowing how he was proud." Stacie said, taking a sip of wine, "but it's getting late, we should probably get going, it's already 6." Stacie said when she looked at the time on her phone, "oh man, it is. Time really does fly when you're having fun." Aubrey said as she stood up, stretching all her muscles.

"Ready?" Stacie asked once she stood up, "yup. Wait, aren't you gonna get the basket?" Aubrey asked when she noticed the picnic basket still on the ground, "I'll get it tomorrow, it's kinda heavy and we have a bit of a walk ahead of us." Stacie shrugged, "oh." Aubrey just kept walking.

They were close to Aubrey's apartment when Aubrey stopped and turned to Stacie, "I had a lot of fun today, getting to know you and stuff." she smiled, "I did to, we should do this again." Stacie said, "are you, Stacie Conrad asking me out?" Aubrey raised her eyebrow, "what if I was?" Stacie looked down, "I wouldn't hate that idea." Aubrey said, "good, cause I wouldn't either." Stacie said, before she continued walking.

Finally they reach the apartment and bided their goodbyes, before Stacie made her way back to her own dorm. Stacie would call this day a success, she just hopes a real date would come soon, and who knows, maybe she'd ask Aubrey to be her girlfriend.
