Summary: Today is the day of the Emmy and Zendaya thought Tom won't make it.

Zendaya POV:
I'm currently backstage while the stylist are working on make up but all of a sudden Tom texted me.

Tom ❤️
T: Hey babe I'm sorry that I couldn't be there for you but do you know when the event starts?

Z: Yeah the event starts at 5:00. And they will be announcing at around 5:30.

T: I know you'll win so don't panic I promise I'll watch it on TV.

Z: I'm not there's other great actors and I don't think I'll win. And I'm gonna go now I'm busy so I'll text you back?

T: Yeah sure bye love you

Z: Love you too xx

Tom POV:
Zendaya thinks I won't be there but I'm gonna be at the event just without her knowing I'm currently on the plane and it'll land in about 1 hour so I'm a bit scared that I won't get there on time. I'm gonna message Darnell about the whole plan. Let's hope I'll get there on time.
* 1 hour later*
The plane just landed and I just book a grab to keep all of my belongings at the hotel and I'll book another grab to the event. After keeping all my belongings at the hotel I book the other grab and it's already 4:40 I think I'm gonna be late but it's only a 15 minute drive so I think I'll be there on time. I'm gonna ask Darnell to come get me outside.

Darnell POV:
Zendaya keep peeking at my phone but I don't think she sees any text but she did ask who I was messaging which I lied and say a friend. But after texting to Tom for 10 minutes he ask me to go get him outside which I walk up slowly making an excuse that I was going to the restroom. I was outside and I saw Tom and I walk up to him and ask what is with the outfit (I forgot to include he change his outfit at the hotel. Sincere apology) and he just laughed and say can you help me in the event is about to start after what felt like hours Darnell bring me to a seat which was exactly behind Zendaya and I sat down while I watch him sat down in behind me.

Tom POV:
The host came up on stage and announce that they will announce the winner now so get ready.

After a few winners it was time for Drama series and all of a sudden I heard a ping and took out my phone it was Zendaya messaging me how she wish I was here and how nervous she was, I wanna tell her I'm here but I couldn't.

When the judge announce the winners (there is 3 awards for drama series. And I will use real name but disclamer some award is fake.)

The 3rd winner is Lee Jung-jae from squid game. After he went up get the award and give a speech he went down and the host announce the 2nd winner.

And the 2nd winner is Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger things. After Millie went up get the award she gave a speech and went back down. And it was time for the moment we've all been waiting for who is in the 1st place.

And the 1st place goes to Zendaya from Euphoria. Everyone broke into applauds including me she went up and give a wholesome speech about Euphoria and Rue.

When Zendaya was coming back I send Darnell a text saying tell her to look back.

And after he told her she look back and she look at me I don't think she recognized me cause I was in an outfit she never see me in and I was looking at my phone.

Zendaya whispered to Darnell and say “It's just a guy I've never seen.” Hearing that Darnell burst out laughing and I was trying to contain my laughter when Darnell told her to walk up to me and say hi.

She did just that and as soon as our eyes met I think she knows but she doesn't say anything until I speak.

Then I know damn well she recognized me, cause of my British accent. And she just ran to hug me there and I just hug her back.

She hug me and say “I thought you couldn't make it due to work.”

I laugh and say I was lying and she just hit me playfully while whispering I love you which I returned back by kissing her.
