Letters 1

We named ourselves the Marauders and went by our aliases. Sirius, Remus, Peter, James, and I had been the closest of friends ever since the train ride to Hogwarts. I had to be Prongslette while James was Prongs, Sirius was Padfoot, Remus was Moony, Peter was Wormtail.

I was really beginning to miss my friends during the break. I was about to send them some letters when James' Owl, Elvendork, knocked on my door bearing a letter. I took the letter from her beak and gave her some treats and water.

Dear Ash,

I hope you had a lovely holiday. How are you? Personally, I haven't really done much, but its been good. I was wondering whether you'd be willing to spend the rest of the break at my place. Remus, Peter, and Sirius are also here. We'll go to Diagon Alley on Sunday to get the items we need for our fourth year year. Apart from that, I really miss you and I can't wait to see you again

Out of all of my friends, I had always been closer with James. He was the one I could talk to about anything. We Always told each other we loved them and we didn't find it weird because we genuinely did, But we definitely didn't have anything romantic going on. I couldn't deny having some feelings for him in my first year though. Even though I was closer with James, I loved all of my friends equally. I don't know how I could live without them.

sprinted from my bedroom and down the stairs to the living room. "Mum," I called out. Would it be alright if I stayed at James' house for the remainder of the break? I already knew the response would be yes. My mother was a very unconcerned and careless person, which helped me get out of problems very quickly but it had disadvantages as well. My parents were incredibly affluent, and because they were constantly working. they hired guards and other staff who periodically picked me up. It honestly really hurt to walk out of the doors of Hogwarts express and see children in the arms of their loving parents who actually cared about them. And I had to be picked up by people who only bothered for the money."Of course dear," replied Mum "Tell Euphemia and Fleamont I said hi!"

I ran up to my room and sat on my desk. I then grabbed a piece of parchment.

Dear James,How are you? I really miss you too. My break has been going really well and i'd be delighted to spend the rest of it with you. I went to a muggle town called Brixton today but mum and dad weren't there. I also met up with Alice there. I can't wait to see you, Sirius, remus and peter again .

I sealed the letter and gave it to Elvendork. She flew out of my window and I went back into my bed excited to see my friends again
