K's POV—
I woke up to the sound of a knock on my door. I hadn't even remembered falling asleep. I brushed my hair out my face and slipped sweatpants over my nike pros and put on slides to look presentable. I open the door. Ghost stood in front of me with that same outfit he had on yesterday.
(og ghost)
"Good-morning." He greeted me
"Hi Ghost." I rub my eyes.
"They want you in the front." He tells me.
I close the door after stepping out into the hallway with him.
"What do they need me for?" I look up at him as we walk.
"I'm not sure. How'd you sleep?" He looks down at me.
"I slept okay, I don't remember falling asleep though."
"You cried yourself to sleep on me." He explains.
He's got to be joking.
"What? No I didn't." I scoff.
"Yes you did..."
"Why was I crying?"
"You said you were still mad at me and then started crying." He chuckled.
"Are you serious?" I mentally face palm.
"It's okay, it was cute."
Keegan is standing in the lobby, with Soap behind him.
"Katrina. Do you know her?" Keegan asks, holding a gun behind her.
I examine the girl he was referring to.
"Denise!?" I raise my hands to my chest in shock.
"Katrina! You left your location on and it took me 2 planes and a hike to get here. You weren't answering your phone... I just had to make sure you were okay."
"You cannot be serious." Keegan says annoyed.
She's such a good friend, but I wasn't sure how they'd react to her being here. I left my phone at home so I wasn't sure what she meant by leaving my location on. That's when I remembered the apple watch I had left in my duffel bag from the last time I went on a trip.
Price enters the room from what I would guess was his office.
"More company?" He says sarcastically, glaring at Keegan and Ghost.
They handcuff Denise, and bring her into the room they used to interrogate me. Soap throws me a sympathetic look before following Price, Ghost and Keegan into the room. I sit on the couch in the lobby, bouncing my leg, nervous about what would happen.
__
Ghost exited the room, grabbing me and pulling me up. As we walked through the hallway he seemed annoyed with me, based on his silence.
"what happened..." My voice quivers with worry,
"You have to stop fucking up, before you get us both in trouble." He tells me, stopping at the door of my room.
"Give me whatever gave her your location." He instructs.
I go into my room, searching in each pocket for my apple watch. I feel a cold screen-like texture, letting me know I found it. I hand it to him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know it was in there.." I glance at his eyes. They were cold.
He exhales.
"It's okay." He tells me before walking off in the direction we came.
I lie on my bed in fear of what they'd do to Denise. Every second felt like an eternity. I could hear the clicks of a clock in my head every-time a second passed.
I had dozed off, waking up to the sound of my door opening. Denise ran in, hugging me.
"Katrina I was so scared that they would kill me." She began to cry into my shoulder.
I rub her back not even knowing what to say to calm her down.
"What did they say." I question her.
"They interrogated me and then took my phone... I still don't know for sure if they're going to kill me yet or not." She whined.
"I'm pretty sure they won't." I try to stay positive.
I get up, looking out into the long corridor, Farah leaned on a wall, talking to Ghost and Keegan. I stare, feeling my body go cold.
"Girl... Who was that guy, the one with the gun to me... He was kinda..." She trailed off, twirling her hair.
I turn to her.
"That was Keegan."
"I need me some Keegan."
"Well he's talking to the military hoe right now." I say, bitterly, closing the door behind me.
"military hoe?"
"it's okay.. from what I know, she's obsessed with Ghost." I say, sitting beside her on my bed.
My door gets knocked on once again shortly after some small talk with Denise. Denise answered since she knew they were looking for her.
"We have a room set up for you, you aren't allowed to leave it until further notice." I see Keegan standing in the hallway over Denise's head.
"I want a room with you." She began to flirt with him.
Keegan ignores this, having her follow him. She waves goodbye to me before closing my door. Ghost opens soon after. He closes the door behind himself. I glance at him, and then back down at my nails that I have been studying.
"I'm sorry for being so rude earlier." He gives me a soft look, sitting beside me on the bed.
I pause for a little,
"It's okay."
"That could've ended way worse, you know." He warns me, referring to the situation from earlier. "They could've killed her and imprisoned you."
I turn to him, lied on my back and with legs bent.
"I really didn't know the watch was in there."
"I know, I'm only a lieutenant. I have little to no say." He explains.
"Why? You seem so skilled." I ask.
"I am skilled" He says cockily. "and because.."
"Because?"
"I have a history of 'temper problems'" He admits.
"Really?" I sit up.
He never really stroke me as someone with anger issues. He always seemed so laid back and unfazed.
"Yeah." He's looking at his lap.
"What did you do that made them decide that you have temper issues?" I ask out of curiosity.
He stays quiet.
"Can I sleep with you tonight?"
This took me for surprise.
"of course."
