The Job

2 weeks have passed and things have been going great so far for the boys, all except for Ace that has more questions than he has answers. The woman who paid their rent, they haven't seen her since that day where was she? He hasn't seen tail or spine of Ivy again. Where was he? Why did he randomly stop attacking? He wasn't sure if that creature he fought was a Wragler or what. Why was it even out there that day? Ace is soon snapped out of his thoughts by Oscar pouncing on top of him and knocking him off his spot on the couch.

"Got ya" Oscar screeches happily.

"Oi get off me!" Ace says struggling under Oscar for a minute.

"Need to stay focused," Oscar says still having Ace pinned to the ground.

"See you'd think I have to but when I can just do this." Ace uses his tail to wrap around Oscar's hoof and slings him across the room causing a loud crash.

"Hey, no fair," Oscar says holding his side.

"It's very fair actually," Ace says getting back on the couch.

"Hm well, if that's fair to you then... MARTREZ NOW!" Oscar shouts. Martrez falls from the ceiling to get the jump on Ace. Ace catches him in time twirls him around and body-slams him.

"Ow. that was my body, Ace." Martrez grunts as Oscar helps him up.

"I'm well aware. Why are y'all doing this again?" Ace asks sitting in the same position on the couch.

"Training?" Both boys say unsurely.

"Really?" Ace says staring directly at them.

"No. You looked sad so we wanted to cheer you up." Martrez says.

"And you thought to do that was attacking me?" Ace says confused by their logic.

"Well, we didn't succeed," Oscar says shrugging. A couple of minutes more of the boys messing around and chatting continue on before Kaveion emerges from his bed.

"Aye jackasses we need to talk," Kaveion says walking into the living room with a concerned expression.

 "Bout?" Oscar says with a head tilt.

"Keeping our home. It's been 2 weeks already, another 2 and that's the end of this month," Kaveion says crossing his arms. This causes the boys to go silent.

"Anyone has any plans on how we're gonna keep up with our rent?" Kaveion finishes.

"We could track down that lady again and ask her for help," Martrez says lowly.

"No," Ace says quickly.

"But why?" Martrez asks.

"Just cause alright," Ace says turning away from Martrez.

"Fine! fine! er-- How bout we get day jobs." Oscar suggests

"You already know no one will hire us because of our age!" Kaveion says snappily.

"Not like a job, job like maybe we walk peoples dogs, or mow grass stuff like that," Oscar says.
