Chapter three

Jared and Jensen didn't say anything which made Mark furious as he now had to deal with the thought of Anti punishing him for his failure. If he managed to get out of here before Ethan somehow made this scenario worse.

"I think you're crazy enough without the staff." Jared said.

"Oh he definitely is," Ethan added. Mark gave his partner a glare while Jensen tried not to laugh at Ethan trying to sell Mark out. "But you'll never catch us!" He declared and threw down a smoke bomb so that he and Mark would appear to vanish. Jared and Jensen coughed as the smoke around them dispersed, in front of them Mark and Ethan had already taken off while the smoke cleared. Jensen rolled his eyes and pulled out his own gun.

"Split up," Jensen said. "I'll take on Mark and you can go after Ethan."

"I'm on it, just be careful." Jared responded. He took out his gun and ran after Ethan "You can't run forever you idiot!" Jared exclaimed.

"I can and I will, you'll never catch me!" Ethan yelled.

Mark ran through the museum with Jensen chasing after him. He grumbled to himself noticing that he can't seem to shake Jensen. The dick was always one step ahead of him, Mark looked for a place to hide or at least something that he could use as a distraction he paused at a scaffolding then glanced behind him seeing that Jensen was gaining. Laughing, Mark grabbed a nearby ladder and started to climb up until he got to the top and a sturdy part of the scaffolding.

"Seriously?!" Jensen called out. "You wanna go this route! Fine, I'll do it! You won't get away from me that easily!" Jensen started climbing up, but little did he know that Mark had other plans. Taking his chance, he ran over to the railing where the scaffolding connected to the second floor. Mark jumped over and got on the second floor trying to make a run for it but he glanced over and the only thing he saw was the window. Mark ran over to it and looked down, the window wasn't that high up, in fact, it connected to part of the roof and to the trash bins down below. A sudden thought occurred to him and he smirked, turning back around just as Jensen came up on the scaffolding. Mark walked over and had his foot on the railing.

"You think it's that easy to catch me Jensen?" Mark said. "Cause I have you right where I want you." Mark used his foot and pushed the scaffolding causing it to start to fall. Jensen yelled and took the chance to jump and grab the railing, he pulled himself up as Mark backed away. Once Jensen was over he pulled out a gun and pointed it where Mark quickly held his hands up.

"You're cornered, there's nowhere for you to run." Jensen warned keeping his guard up. Even though it was evident that Mark was trapped he decided to try and get under Jensen's skin. He looked into Jensen's mind and saw all his thoughts and worries.

"You're afraid." Mark said simply

"I don't know what you're talking about," Jensen said. "Now how about you come with me peacefully then we can all sort this out, I'm sure Chase would be glad to see you."

"You know what I see when I look into your eyes? I'm looking into the eyes of a man who wants to run away," Mark responded. "Because he's afraid that he won't be able to protect his family."

"Shut up!" Jensen exclaimed and placed his finger on the trigger. "If you don't come with me now I'll shoot." Mark smirked and turned around knowing that Jensen wouldn't kill him.

"You can't do it, you're shaking." Showing that he meant business, Jensen pulled the trigger nearly hitting Mark's foot but it instead hit the floor ricocheting off the wood causing it to echo throughout the museum.

"That was a warning shot, the next one won't miss." Jensen threatened except he hadn't moved. "If you're done playing games I'm going to take you in."

"Well I've tried to be good," Mark said. "Time to be bad," In a quick swift Mark snapped the gun out of Jensen's hand once he turned around. "Oh come on, is that all you've got? I'm a little disappointed." Taking his chance as Jensen ran to grab him, Mark jumped through the window and onto the roof before jumping into a human sized tube and landing in the dumpster. Jensen cursed and was forced to double back to get out the front door but by the time he got out Mark had already disappeared.

Jared was still hot on Ethan's trail and made sure to slow him down by shooting the young thief in the leg with a stun gun. Ethan flinched and fell down. He tried to get up but his leg refused to work and he couldn't outrun Jared if he limped away.

"Don't move." Jared said sternly.

"I literally can't go anywhere thanks to you," Ethan complained. "Do you know how hard it is to be partners with Mark and steal something like the staff without interruption," Ethan rambled on without stopping. "There is literally no pleasing that guy. He hates everything and claims that I talk too much." Jared rolled his eyes and tased Ethan to shut him up as his rambling was giving Jared a headache. He grabbed hold of Ethan and handcuffed him so that if he woke up the kid wouldn't try to escape, Jared also made sure to contact his best friend on his hologram watch. But there was no answer and while he was worried he knew he had to send Ethan back to Chase before he went after Jared. So he placed a device on the unconscious Ethan and pressed a few buttons on it causing Ethan to vanish, Jared breathed a sigh of relief and took the device back before bolting out of the museum.

"Jensen, where are you?" He asked. "I got Ethan but we need to find Mark."

"Jared?!" Jensen called out and left the museum. "Sorry, I had to get out of the museum the long way, I lost Mark."

"What? How did he get away?" Jared asked. Jensen wanted to tell his friend about the incident, but he decided against it and did not want to show that Mark had gotten under his skin. So rather, he told the half truth since he was determined to get his hands on Mark before he figured out the coordinates.

"I had him cornered but he jumped out the window and into this large tube," Jensen explained. "It led into the dumpster but when I went to catch him he had already left." Jared had a feeling there was more to the story but brushed it off and said they should get back before Ethan woke up.

Anti had been in the middle of plotting something for his master plan, he knew that everyone had an alter ego, but he needed the staff to spread it throughout the rest of the world. If he didn't have it then turning people into their alter egos and trapping their true selves in their own minds would take years. He didn't have that much time to wait, as he made a list of people who were against him, the doors to his office burst open. Anti glanced up from his paperwork and saw Mark step inside, alone and without the staff.

"What are you doing here? Where's the staff?" Anti asked.

"Apologies sir, there were some complications." Mark answered.

"Complications? What do you mean by Complications? I told you what to do." Anti narrowed his eyes.

"What I mean is that Jared and Jensen stole the staff before I could and they captured Ethan." Mark explained.

"How could they have stolen the staff?" Anti questioned. "Anyone who touches it would risk the consequences, now why don't you tell me exactly what happened? And where did they send the staff to?"

"I didn't manage to get that information but I know a way to find out." Mark responded.

"Really? Do tell." Anti said Intrigued. Mark smiled and thought back to his interaction with Jensen.

"It seems that Jensen is not just a menace to us but a family man, he has a wife and daughter and his wife has twins on the way." Mark answered. Anti thought about this for a good while, with Golden Dawn catching Ethan it made sense to try and lure Jensen out to their base. With his knowledge of the staff's location it would put him a step further to world domination. However, he wasn't sure if the staff truly did work or if it was a ploy the best bet would be to try it on Jensen when he did lead them to the staff.

"I want you to capture his family, and leave him to me." Anti said. "Don't fail me, if anything just leave Ethan there, i'm sure that if we have Jensen then we have a way to hold Golden Dawn back."

"Of course sir but I don't want to make my move just yet," Mark responded. "Having Jensen be vulnerable isn't enough. I want his pesky partner to understand the true definition of pain." He had been humiliated too many times by both of them to miss the chance of getting back at them.

"What do you suggest?"

"The two live in the same compound, correct?" Mark asked. "I say we use someone who can get inside."

"I see, well send for Danny, have him get inside, but whatever you are planning, I'll give you the go just as long as I get my hands on that insolent Ackles guy!" Anti said. "Those two have been a pain in the ass for quite some time, now stop standing here and get going!"
