1. Crash Landing

A plane majestically soars through the sky, when it suddenly seemingly has a seizure and crashes to the ground.

Nobody knows where the plane came from, why the individuals where driving it or what it's destination was. All we know now is that it was a plane, before it crash landed and became a broken, deformed, winged vehicle.

Suprise suprise, everyone who was in the plane are still alive. 'But how did they survive?' You may ask. Nobody knows and probably will never know how they all survived. Perhaps they where lucky. Or perhaps they're immortal? We will never know for sure.

Three eared-and-tailed figures emerge from the disaster sight. One was of small proportions, a gradient of blackish-blue and cyan coloring its fluffy pelt, along with a skull mask which lay perfectly upon its muzzle.

Another was of normal size, simplistic patterning of white and teal painting its fur, with the addition of a top hat which possessed an unmeasured level of magic.

The 3rd figure had fur darker than the sky without stars. Multiple shades of purple colored its beautiful flaming tail, along with stripes of purple lining its muzzle and ears.

"This is all your fault, Zinii!" The arctic fox called.

"How is this my fault?! You where the one who kept squawking like a crow." The small wolfdog responded.

"I wasn't even squawking that loud. Also, you get distracted too easily."

"Well maybe if you hadn't been squawking, I wouldn't have gotten distracted!"

"Why did we even let you drive the plane?"

"Exactly. How did you have enough stupidity to announce me as the plane driver, knowing that there was a chance something like this would happen?" The small wolfdog declared after a short pause.

"And how did you have the stupidity to announce yourself as the plane driver, knowing that something like this would happen?"

"That's what I just asked you-"

"Why didn't we just choose me to be the plane driver?" The tall mysterious character named Void spoke, which momentarily broke up the argument.

"Because-" The arctic fox named Icey said, before she was interrupted by Zinii.

"Because, the cockpit is only for short people. You're too tall to drive the plane."

"At least I'm not short." Void responded.

"I am not that short! Also, I'm way taller than you." Zinii said, standing proudly, her hands on her hips.

"Mhm." Void said, grinning.

"I am. And I can prove it!" Zinii swiftly climbed onto Icey's head, and stood as tall as she could while keeping her balance.

"See? I'm way taller than you." Zinii said confidently. But even after climbing on top of Icey, she was still shorter than Void by an inch.

"Yeah. Your totally taller than me." Void said sarcastically, tilting her head down a bit to look at Zinii.

"I'm glad we've come to an agreement." Zinii said. She clearly didn't want to argue about her height anymore.

Zinii hopped down from Icey's head and onto the ground.

Icey stood expressionless for a moment, then spoke. "Setting aside all the jokes, we have to find shelter, and fast. It's already noon."

"Right." Void responded.

The three looked at the environment around them. Dead plants and cacti dotted the land, along with small sand dunes and little patches of dehydrated grass. There were also the bony remains of the malnourished travelers that had previously come to die in the sandy oblivion.

"We could use the plane," Zinii suggested after the momentary silence.

"We could, but we can't make it an official shelter. It isn't in good condition, nor is it repairable." Icey responded.

"Good point."

"Hey, I think I see something over there," Void proclaimed with a bit of uncertainty, pointing at the horizon. In the distance was a distinctively large mountain-like structure. A perfect place to find refuge.

"I think I see it too," Icey responded.

"Same here." Zin replied.

"Should we try going there now?" Void questioned.

"No...seems too far to go to right now," Icey said, squinting a tad as she stared at the so-said mountain.

"True..shall we camp out here then and wait til' tomarrow?" Void proposed.

"Sure." The other two critters responded.

[Author Note]

And so, the three didn't set out on a wonderful journey(not yet at least), and decided to put Chapter 2 on hold. Y i p e e.

All jokes aside though, I hope whoever's reading this enjoyed Chapter 1! :>

If you're reading Stranded for the 2nd time after reading the first version I published some time ago, you'll likely notice I added a few extra details/paragraphs and tweaked/re-wrote a bunch of stuff(timing each moment well is very important).

I don't have much else to say here...so imma go ahead and end this A/N with a fun list of things I might add in the next few chapters.

-Spooky oversized seabagull I totally didn't take inspo of from CoS(I dont play cos anymore :'D)(edit from future self: I am actually starting to play CoS again! and yes, i do have a habit of calling seagulls 'seabagulls'.)
-Death(oh noe important plot characters r dieing in chaptr 2?!1!1!)
-Sand. Lots of sand.
-Sand that practically eats you alive
-Sand chips
-Possible new characters to add to the cast 👀
-Lore? :o
-and last but not least, super epik post-climatic event that i haven't decided on yet
