"Wha-what was that?" Riki asked the officer that was guiding him toward the way Riki entered. The officer sighed like he was exhausted. He tried replying to Riki but it only ended as stutters.
"Kid, we found him h-hanging in the cafeteria. We'll try searching for fingerprints, he's your friend, right? I'll update you when we find clues, for now, kid, give me your number."
The police officer gave Riki a pen and paper, Riki wrote his number on it and then left the scene.

But he never got a call.

It was a sorrowful Tuesday, Riki's motorbike broke, and it was close to Riki's birthday, November 10th. Around 5 days before that was TJ's death. 3 Days after the death, the funeral was held somewhere in Detroit. The clouds were gray as it was raining heavily, it reflected Riki's emotional state on the 8th.
It was 1 in the afternoon when Riki arrived at the funeral service, it had Maroon colored bricks, the path was grayed out like the tears of people has been dropping on it ever since, the white metal roof was dripping with rain, through the windows you could see people giving their respects to TJ.

Riki walked into the funeral and all eyes were immediately on him. He had a reputation to mess things up with his bad luck, like that one time when Piranhas swam out of the swimming pool that Riki got invited to, or the 2-week school suspension he got when he got caught having a wrestling match in front school grounds.

He stood in the back for the majority of the funeral, while people were wiping their tears, saying their goodbyes, and telling their thank-yous. He was the last person to say goodbye to TJ, he walked up to TJ's casket. In a brown suit and pale skin, TJ lay there in the casket. Riki chuckled a little.
"I wouldn't be caught dead if I wore that." He said.

Riki put his right arm on the casket, laying his head on his arm.
"You know when you left, everything just went downhill. I don't know what to do now, man. You were always there for me, and always had my back. Now you're gone." Riki's voice was trembling as tears started to stream down his face. "Remember when you promised me that you'll always be there to cheer me up? That you're always going to bang me in the head with a metal bat if I even considered trying to harm myself? Ironic, isn't it?  Rest in peace, bud."

As Riki walked away from the casket, he noticed a man in a black suit and fedora standing in the corner of the room. He looked out of place among the mourners, and something about him made Riki uneasy. The man noticed Riki staring then he gave Riki an eerie smile, Riki had a shiver travel up his spine as the man smiled at Riki. A mourner walked between them, obstructing Riki's vision of the man. When the mourner moved on, the man in the fedora was gone in the crowd.

Riki blinked and went on, but as soon as he started walking, his shoulder got grabbed.
"Hey, Riki." Surprisingly, it was Arlea.

It was Arlea in a black suit and a silver bowtie, her white glistening hair was tied into a ponytail, and had a brown, purple and blue sling bag.

Startled by the sudden appearance, Riki jumped.
"Whoa, what- uh-" Suddenly, he had an instant interest in his tie. "So, w-what're you doing here?" he asked Arlea nervously. Arlea chuckled quite a bit and jabbed him in the shoulder.
"Ow" Riki said, rubbing his shoulder"
"Be a man! Well anyways, judging from the circles in your eyes, you haven't been taking TJ's death well. Also, I'm here because I wanted to mourn too. As annoying as he is, he was a good guy." Arlea said, looking onward to the sky with a sad look on her face, her bright and beautiful blue eyes glittering with tears.

She let out a heavy sigh and started walking out.
"Oh yeah! I forgot!" Arlea said, reaching into her sling bag. Riki saw Arlea's tired eyes, red from crying and tired of working. It looked like she stayed up for 10 ten days in a row.
"Wha-" Riki got cut off immediately by Arlea, who was holding up a pen and paper in front of his face.
"Write your number, you'll need it someday," Arlea said.
