LOVE LETTERS: PART 1. THE FIRST MEETING:

Letter 1:

1st March, 1969.

Dear Miss Lyngstad,

I just want to say that you sing beautifully. Your voice is smooth, warm and unique, simply perfect. I have to go on stage soon but I just wanted to point this fact out in case you need reminding. Sorry if this note is a little creepy, but I wanted to congratulate you. I'll give this to someone to deliver to you.

B. Andersson.

Letter 2 :

1st March, 1969.

Dear Mr Andersson,

Your note was unexpected but very much appreciated, especially from someone as talented as yourself. I can't believe you'd actually take notice of me of all people! I hope everything goes well on stage, though I'm sure it will.

A. Lyngstad.

Letter 3:

1st March, 1969:

Dear Miss Lyngstad,

I think you've realised who I am then, haven't you?
The crowd was very energetic and I was pleased by their response. I often get nervous because I worry we might lose the magic one day (don't tell anyone though!).
People simply adored you, and it's clear to me you were born to be on stage. You're going to be the most sought after singer one day, I can tell.

B. Andersson.

Letter 4:

1st March, 1969.

Dear Mr Andersson,

Yes, I have some idea. After all, you're not exactly undiscovered, are you?
I'm glad your set went well, I was watching from the wings. It was simply magical, and you looked so at home. I would never guess you were nervous at all, unlike me, who could probably faint from fear! And don't worry, I'm the best at keeping secrets.

You flatter me, I don't think I did as well as I usually would. I'm not used to these big crowds. At least I didn't get booed though.

A. Lyngstad.

Letter 5 :

1st March, 1969.

Dear Miss Lyngstad,

Well, it seems my secrets were pointless then! I was hoping to be a mysterious admirer, but oh well.
I'm surprised I didn't see your bewitching face out of the corner of my eye, but I guess I should be glad for I would've been too captivated to look away.
I hope you enjoyed it anyway, I do love performing. I taught myself the piano when I was around 10 and people have never been able to drag me away from it since!

You didn't seem nervous to me at all, very confident in fact. I suppose that it just means you're a good performer.

Please don't doubt yourself, you're the best singer I've seen in a long time.

And feel free to call me Benny.

Sincerely,

Benny Anderson.
