CHAPTER 5

The next few days have been going on smoothly and perfect for the alpha. And maybe it was better than before for the omega. His heat finally ended so he doesn't need to be that scared around the alpha. Katsuki started to frequently take Izuku to different places around the castle, like the garden, library, and small park. Izuku doesn't looks as bothered anymore, he's enjoying his time.

"Why are you so nice to me?"

Katsuki snapped out of his daydreaming after hearing his voice. Yes, Izuku stopped stuttering after a while, meaning he gained some trust towards the alpha King. And he felt happy for that. He looked at the smaller male, "What's wrong with me being nice? Do you want me to be mean instead?" He doesn't intended to glare, but his sharp eyes made him looked like he did. Izuku sweated, fearing he irritated the alpha because of the out of the blue question,"N-no, Katsuki, I mean... I am just an ordinary person. You found me injured in the forest and brought me back and treated my wounds, and I'm very thankful for that. But you've been keeping me in here for a while and forbid me to go. Is there any reason for that?" He stared with his big emerald eyes, full of wonder, obviously desperate wanting an answer. Not really though, he knew why, but he wanted to hear the answer from Katsuki himself. The alpha looked disappointed. "Do you not like it here? You should be thankful to be here. You hit the fucking jackpot here. A big ass fancy castle with a mighty and awesome dominant alpha King like me keeping you safe." "But I have my own purpose! I- I can't be here! I need to continue traveling because... of something! Do you usually keep random strangers here too?" The greenette tried to keep the shouting down, tried to stay calm to prevent any further arguments. The alpha sighed, once again reaching his hand to caress the omega. "You're different, Izuku."

"Do you even know me? What's different from me?" He stared nervously, trying to keep the eye contact still. "As I said before... the answer could wait." Katsuki smiled. Izuku couldn't really stand it anymore. He wanted to say it there, that if the king wanted him to be his mate then he's not interested. But he needed to keep it together for now. He knows that Katsuki loves him, but he felt bad for not returning his feelings. He also knew that even if the king loves him, he's still being very careful to not let him escape from his grasp. Still not fully gaining his trust. He needed to act. So he just sighed,"Sorry, I know I should be thankful. Can I go back to my room now? I've breated the fresh night air enough, it's starting to get cold." He said innocently. That peeked the alpha's interest. "Sure, anything for you." He said as he lift the omega up and carried him to his room. Honestly, Katsuki tried to be careful with physical touch with the fragile omega. But sometimes he just couldn't help it. As long as the greenette isn't freaked out, then everything's good for them. Izuku on the other hand... just endured everything. He felt loved but if it's not from the alpha he wanted, then all he could see was just another perverted alpha trying to win his heart. Perhaps he only wanted him for his body because he's an omega. But there are still other omega's with a body more attractive than him.

So why did he...?

Izuku woke up the next morning only to be greeted by lots of gifts. They seems to be courting gifts or something close to it. There was a lot of soft pillows and blankets, some of them was scented by the alpha beforehand. Izuku looked pretty excited because those materials are perfect for his upcoming nest when his next heat hits. "W-when... when did you get these?!" He blushed and shouted at the proud alpha a little. He rubbed his neck,"Like it that much? Heh, I knew you'd love them. See, it's perfect here already. So you--" Ah, I see... So these gifts are like some bribes to keep me here. To keep me from escaping. This stubborn guy really can't take a hint that I'm uninterested, huh? "A-ah, I appreciate it so much, Katsuki, thank you for the.... 'courting gifts'. But sadly, I can't really accept your feelings and if that's the case, then I also probably don't deserve this." Huh, seems like I decided to say it now. I sounded pretty calm, I hope he'll react the same way too.

The omega glanced up and he could see it. The stares. Katsuki stares sharply at him, making him shivers in fear. The alpha started producing sour and bitter pheromones, meaning that he's angry. He then blinked and took a deep breath so he looked calmer. "Why...? Is there any flaws from me...?" He sounded sad and pitiful. Izuku played with his little fingers not exactly knowing how to answer. "I'm not interested in you... As I said before, I was traveling for someone. I was looking for someone I truly love. And that someone isn't you, Y-your Highness." He explained calmly using formal name to sounds proper and not too friendly, to show some respect. Katsuki lets out a small growl under his breath. "...Who is this 'someone'? An alpha?" The greenette sweats. "I-i don't think I should tell you about something regarding my personal life. And yes, they are an alpha like you." He fiddled, glancing at his sides not daring to look at the other's intimidating eyes.

Katsuki thought for a while. Izuku, Izuku... who might be the person he was looking for? Going out alone in the forest just to look for some extra. Looking from the conditions of him and his bag when he was first found, it seems like he has been going for days. He also got some older bruises and scars, so seems like it was actually really dangerous. He looked like he'd barely survive if he goes out again.

"Who might this person be..." "I told you, Your Highness, you don't exactly deserve to kn-" "Izuku." The king interrupted. He kneeled besides Izuku's side. He got onto the bed again then stroke one of Izuku's trembling palm with his own bigger one. He looked calmer than before.

"Where were you heading to? Do you even know where your goal were?" He stares. "Do you even have a map? Do you remember 'his' scent? Where they went?" He kept on asking question and refers to the unknown person as a 'he' as if he knows who he's talking about. Now that Izuku thinks about it, he indeed didn't have a proper way of going. No compass or maps. "Do you even remember how he looked like?" The alpha asked once again. He looked dead serious. "His name?" "I-i remember his name..." The omega finally spoke. He was trembling and feeling overwhelmed by the questions and atmosphere around him. "A-as I said, S-sir, I shouldn't tell strangers-"

"Answer me."

Izuku's body suddenly jolted. Katsuki used his alpha voice. Izuku's omega side obviously felt intimidated and began to bow in submission. The alpha honestly hated doing things like this cause he's basically taking advantage of a hopeless omega. Of someone's secondary gender. But he couldn't help it. He needs answer. He was DESPERATE. He also looked hurt when the omega refers to him as a 'stranger' again after they started this conversation. The omega's breathing hitched as he tried to stop himself from speaking another word, worried for his beloved unknown alpha. He didn't want the king to capture him. Heck,  he might even try to kill him to forcefully make Izuku his mate. But no omega can really resist an alpha's intimidating command when they use 'the voice'. Not long after, he opened his mouth, whispering an answer.

"What did you just said?"

"H-his name is Kacchan."

I'm sorry, but I'm slowly losing motivation to keep publishing this story cuz, it has little to no readers, as if no one's really interested in it. Look, I even started to update the story late 😕😔
