It had gone weeks before I had considered the deal I had with Mithrandir, the wizard.
I had too much to think about, and just now, I was sitting on the throne made from my father's breath and swords that were retrieved from the dead dragons of our kin that ever used those offensive weapons. I had a conical taking place with the leading Elder, of course, Longwei. And we discussed the threat that still opposed Middle Earth and what we dragons would do.
"we're not going to war once again, your hinges!" snarled a female Elder Adalinda. she was the second oldest in this group of Elders, and my father disliked dragons. So she always shied away from war and battles. Blood was never on her nails. She had to have anything heavy on her back at all.
So if a female of our tribe were to lay eggs, Adalinda would not come to give advice or help. She was arrogant and high thinking of herself. I never understood why. she had lost too much and had so little left that she should still be considered a lucky dragon.
Well, whatever reason her was, I do not care right now. I sighed, putting a talon against my temple. "friend Adalinda" started Elder Longwei, his green face calm, but I saw the flicker of annoyance in his ember brown eyes. The female dragon turned to face her superior "you are only advice, not the queen herself. And no one has said that your little family is meant to go to war. Our queen will not take those who do not want to" I smiled at Longwei's words.
He always rooted for me, even now that I have become the queen. So I will have the official coronation when I get home from helping Mithrandir, whenever that is.
"Elder Longwei is right," spoke a male dragon with scales of crimson red. He was Longwei's oldest friend called, Apep. Adalinda growled at the younger male and lifted her chin "you do not know what you speak of, child. I have lost too much to war and battles. I will not see our tribe; our kingdom suffers losses again."
This time I spoke up, tired of the Elders' bickering. "okay, enough. I needed your thoughts on this matter. And I thank you all, but you are all excused now. Hurry along" I made a shooing motion with my sable wing, and the dragons grumbled but filed out one after one until only Elder Longwei left. He turned to face me with a smile. "you know that they only care for you, right?" he said, and I scoffed "care? For me? Tch, dont make me laugh. No, Longwei, they do not. They want me not to make rash destinies, so they must find a new ruler. Or do they want that I do just that clause? I know of my nature to defy advice," Longwei laughed, deep and rattling as an Elder dragon should have.
"Oh my dear, your wit has not yet deserted you, see. Well, it is good to have you back to the one you were. And as I said, you will become a good queen. I support your decision but not the one about going alone. At least take me or some guards with you," he said, and I could hear the worry in his voice, so I stepped off the throne and laid a wing around his shoulders. "Longwei, I must do this alone, and you know that. A band of dragons at my tail will only wake supsiosn. Smaug will suspect something, and too many dragons cannot hide their descent. I should go alone. Gandalf asked me after all."
The older dragon nodded before laying his rotty older snout against my pulsing chest. "then I bid you goodwill and proser, my queen," and then he slithered out of my embrace and out of the throne room.

Gandalf was waiting for an answer from Darkfury, but he had busied himself with visiting the hobbit named Bilbo.
That young hobbit was also one who would join his company, and Gandalf knew that he would rise and find himself. I only hope that the dwarves will accept Darkfury, he thought while walking away from the Shire after his first meeting with Bilbo again. That's when an eagle no more significant than an average-sized eagle came through the filtering trees that send speckled sunlight to the grassy ground.
gandlaf smiled and stopped letting the eagle land on his outstretched arm. Its claws were softly curling around and fastening in his cloak material to keep itself perched. It then stretched one talon up so Gandalf could see that it bore a white rolled-together scroll, a letter, he thought with growing excited settling in his stomach.
He took the offered letter, and the eagle flew off and perched on one of the nearby trees. The white wizard rolled up the scroll and read what it said:
"dear friend Gandalf I have considered your offer to join you on an adventure, and I have agreed. I will come to you when the light of the first full moon comes to light. Look to the sky after a tremendous black shape, and you shall find me.
Best wishes,
- Queen Darkfury"
Gandalf smiled at the short yet meaningful letter and danced a little victory in his mind. Now he just had to go to the blue mountains and inform thorin that the company was ready and he had found the final members. he would probably leave out some details bout their last member Darkfury. He would probably have to get her a nickname that she could use for cover but that all were in the future. For now, he had to journey to the Blue Mountains and seek out thorin.
Hopefully, the young prince is ready to take back his homeland, and this adventure will go smoothly.
