Omg i was finally called!
"These participants are selected in the audition. The rest, better luck next time. Thank you for participating today. And the selected ones, i have an announcement to make.. after each of your performances we have decided to pair you with each other, so now i call upon Nate to announce the pairs."

Nate was another Judge who was asking us our names before the performance. I wonder who would i be paired with. I hope its cassie.

Carl Bennett and chole Johnson

Austin Howard and Tina Sharma

Nick perez snd Cassie Bennett

And last but never the least its..

Ren Cooper and Alex Miller.

Alex perspective

As Nate started calling up the pairs i felt nervous. My hands were once again cold.
Then when Nate called Nika and Cassie i was kind of disappointed because Cassie was paired with someone else.

"Ren Cooper and Alex Miller"

I was deep in my thoughts but then i felt something touch my hand i looked at my hand to seem another hand interlocking with mine.

I lifted my head to meet the same pitch black eyes. I was mesmerised by the dept and beauty of those eyes. Few seconds passed by and i couldnt move but when sudden realisation hit me i looked away.
"I-I am Alex Miller. N-Nice to meet you" I awkwardly smile,as i was embarrassed.
"I'm Ren Cooper. Glad to meet you Alex" he said as he smiled no wait was that a smirk!? Hell no i am overthinking! I could feel my face heat up it started to burn i felt my heart beat raise. I started to feel uncomfortable so i broke the eye contact and looked the way.

Meanwhile

"Guys we have thoroughly discussed and selected these pairs. We believe that you guys will get along and perform together, Thank you. Nate said And everyone started to cheer up.

One week later..

I arrived to college and spotted my friends.. Mike, Tao, Lisa and Jen.
"Hey Guys!" I waved at them.
"Alex! Happy Birthdayy" four of them said in unison and hugged me tight.
"Thank you very much guys" i smiled at them brightly.
"Are we partying tonight?" Mike asked.
"Oh Yes we are, at my place" i said.
"Thats great and by the way who are you going to reply?" Tao asked
"You guys of course"
"Of course duh but.. i was wondering if you are going to invite you dancing partner too." He said.
I dont know why but when he mentioned that my heart skipped a beat.
"Ah.. um.. i haven't thought about it yet"
"Oh come on it will be fun after all"
"Yess pleaseee invite him alex!!" Lisa and jen said in unison.
"Seriously? Ugh okay i will"
"Yayy!!" They started to jump in joy.
. . .

I told my friends about having a dance partner and they felt curious about him.

I doubt if he'd agree to my invitation. However I shrugged my thoughts.
A sudden realisation hit me that i didnt have his contact info.. how would i contact him? But then the audition that took place here.. they might have his contact. I immediately ran to the reception.
"Hi um do you have the contact information of the participants that took part in the audition held last week?" I asked the receptionist.
"Let me check" she said as she searched it on her laptop.
"Here you go" she turned around her laptop and i started to search for the name i needed. Found it!

Name: Ren Cooper, Age: 18, Number: 7*********
I saved the contact number in my phone and thanked her for it and left the place.

I went out then took my phone out of my pocket and tapped on his contact. I felt oddly nervous and had second thoughts on inviting him, but then recalled that my friends would annoy me if i didnt call him. I once again shrugged my thoughts and tapped on 'call'

Ring..

Ring..

Ring..

"H-Hello Ren? this is Alex Cooper, Your dance partner."
"Hi Alex" i heard the other end say.
"I actually wanted to invite you to my Birthday party tonight, it would be nice if you come"  Even though i said nothing wrong, i felt embarrassed. I mentally prepared myself for hearing 'no' from him.
But then i heard him say something which i didn't expect.
"Sure. And wish you a Very Happy Birthday Alex"  its just a wish.. it was just a simple wish.. but the way he said my name was hot.
I mentally slapped myself hard for thinking this way.
"T-Thank you! So see you at my place around eight pm?" I managed to reply

"Okay share me your address"
He said.
"Yeah i will.. bye" i said.
"Bye Alex" i felt weird when he mentioned my name.
Ah Alex you are definitely crazy you need therapy. I thought.
...

I was sitting at the cafeteria, as it was lunch break. Mike, Tao, lisa and Jen came and sat down infront on me.
"So.. did you ask him?" Jen asked.
"Yes Yes i did. And he fortunately agreed." i said.
Hearing me said that, they looked pleased.
I wonder how will it going to be tonight..
