1) Martyn's scars are actually from his old owner before the house he is in now, his old owner would usually purposefully put traps in Martyn's cage as an experiment, sometimes his old owner used to just give him the scars directly
2) Martyn lies about the scars to everybody since he saw his past self as weak for allowing his old owner to do that
3) Martyn doesn't actually trust many of the rats since in all reality, he's just scared of everything in the house.
4) Martyn sleeps in his bar since he forgot to make a house of his own and he doesn't want to bother anyone my asking to room with them, even if he knows anyone would let him.
5) Martyn only trusts Oli, Owen and Jimmy.
6) Martyn knows how to read rat obviously and he actually knows a couple words in English, but not a lot
7) Martyn likes to sing to himself in the bar while everyone else is asleep since he's self conscious of his voice and doesn't want anyone else to hear

1) Martyn makes a lot of his own original songs (mainly using an acoustic guitar that Owen made for him)
2) He has a couple scars on other parts of his body from getting glass stuck in him from when he was allowed to scurry around his old owner's home who used to smash glass bottles all over the place a lot of the time when they were annoyed
