"maybe you just need to go back to the ocean."
of course i do, i love the ocean.
i love the soft salty breeze that could turn into a fierce one.
i love being able to watch the sun sink into the calm water,
and i love watching the sky brighten up early the next day.
i love the animals found at shore: the pelicans, the hermit crabs, the practically invisible fish.
i love going on walks alone with one earbud in, playing peaceful music both day and night.
i just love the feeling of my salty hair even if it's tangled.
i love the friendly stray dogs that sit down next to you for a break, their tongues out, and sand covering their fur.
i love the walk to the small beach towns,
i love the local restaurants that are worn out and beautiful.
i love the little shops that you come across, the ones that sell things you've never seen before,
i especially love it when they have baby turtles.
i love the singled out houses that hold some sort of mystery to them, a story,
the ones i crave to walk inside, knowing my imagination would run wild at the sight of the interior.
i love seeing the local bands play in lively set ups,
set ups that are covered with bright colors and geometric shapes that come together into something beautiful.
i love being sun kissed and tan, even if only i can notice it.
i love my freckles being more visible, i love my lips being pinker, my cheeks being brighter.
i love finding a hamock and laying in it 'till sunset, reading about another beach life story.
i love finding the moons reflection on the water and running to it.
i love the sun and the moon and the water and the sand.
of course i need to go back, i love the ocean.
i long for it.
