Blitz slipped into the bedroom. "Venus is down, fucking finally. That kid is a firecracker." Blitz chuckled to himself. She had just turned 3.

"Blitz?" Stolas stared back at him. "Yea?" Blitz picked up a glass on the nightstand and began to drink from it. "What if we had another child?" He choked on the water and coughed, before looking at Stolas. It was a look he usually got when Blitz was silently telling him he was overthinking a situation. "What?"

Stolas readjusted himself and sat up. "I love Venus more than anything. I'd be content if we just had her but.. she's beginning to get older. What if she's lonely? I- I don't want her to go through that."

Blitz sat down next to his husband and held his hand. "I know. I agree with having another kid but.. the last time destroyed you. Plus, we had to fuck a lot, which was nice but we can't do that anymore."

Stolas sighed and looked at Blitz. "If we fail 3 times, then I would like to adopt." Blitz smiled at Stolas and held his hand firmly. "Okay. We'll do that." Stolas smirked at him and rested his head on his shoulder.

"Okay.." Stolas sat down in front of the eggs. He flipped the light and looked down into them, turning and trying to see any sign of life. Blitz was gone at work, and as Stolas realized the conclusion he regretted not waiting. There was nothing in the egg.

Stolas assumed he was alone. He slowly walked over to his bed and sat on it, as tears dropped down his face. He was devestated. He just wanted this to work.

Not only did he want Venus to have the life he never had, but he wanted more. He wanted another child to take care of. That was the reason he had loved plants all of his life. He loved to nurture and protect and care for things that needed him. It made him feel good, like something relied on him.

It made him feel especially good when a living demon that he had helped create was relying on him to take care of them. One day, Venus wouldn't be relying on him. Stolas was unsure he would be able to handle that.

This was the last child they would have, and then he would be satisfied with his family. He would be able to sit back and relax and just enjoy the remaining time he had with his children and husband.

Yet, Stolas knew if this didn't work that would never happen.

Why are you crying?" Venus asked as she tumbled into Stolas's room. Stolas wiped his eyes and sniffled a little. "It doesn't matter, starlight." Venus gave a look of confusion and then crawled into his lap and hugged him. "Don't be sad." She nestled his chest.

Stolas picked her up and hugged her, kissing her on the head before letting a few more tears slip. She was such a kind soul. Stolas had no idea how he was so lucky to end up with her.

"Babe! I'm home!" Blitz announced as he shut the door. Stolas rounded the door with Venus in his hands. "Daddy!" She exclaimed as she fumbled down and ran to him. Blitz picked her up and peppered kisses onto her face before looking up at Stolas. "So? Did you check them?"

"Yes." Stolas smiled. "They were.. uhm.." Stolas smiled and nodded at him. He couldn't continue without crying. Blitz dipped his head in respect and looked up at Stolas. "I will give you a minute, okay? I got Venus."

Blitz walked off with Venus as Stolas turned around and began to let our tiny sobs when he was out of her sight.

Then a new egg came.

"Want me to check while you get Venus?" Blitz asked. "Yes.. please don't mention it in her presence. I don't want to be upset in front of her." Blitz nodded. Stolas walked out of the room letting Blitz turn on the light. He checked around and began to sigh. Nothing was showing. Then, he saw it. This was a fertile egg!

"STOLAS!" Stolas ran over to Blitz and looked at the egg and gasped. "Oh, Blitz!" Stolas hugged him as tight as he could.

Venus's eyes lit up as she looked at the egg. "That's your baby brother or sister." Stolas explained to her with a smile. "Really?" She gasped as she reached out to touch it. "Wait, be very careful. It's heavy! Just touch the top." She slowed down and touched the top and smiled at Stolas. "Why is it so warm?" She asked curiously. "We have to keep it warm so it stays extra cozy. Babies thrive on warmth." Stolas told her.

"Okay so.. now that we don't have to rush how about we start planning?" Blitz began as he walked behind Stolas. Stolas turned around with Venus. "Okay.. so what do you think we should start with?"

Blitz smirked. "I thought you would never ask..." He pulled out a paper with very badly drawn doodles on it. A cute little version of Venus was on the paper along with himself, Stolas, and the egg.

"The egg is 6 inches long so we have to get something that would fully support it and keep it warm. I saw something online that could help." Blitz scribbled onto the paper and made a little hammock for the egg. "We need to get Venus adjusted to having a sibling, so we should be on her more about learning to do basic things that she hasn't already learned." Blitz added a smaller child next to Venus and a little heart in between.

"Then you and I decide on names." Venus clapped as Blitz finished and Stolas looked over the moon. "That all sounds splendid!" Blitz shrugged with a small smile. "I know I'm great at planning." He said jokingly. Stolas hugged him tight and sighed contently. "You're such a good dad." Blitz smiled and kissed Stolas. "We both are."
