It started as a normal day.

Teufort. Engi was running around trying to get metal while Scout kept stealing all of it for himself. RED was losing the round and they had no chance. Engi knew that, but he wasn't one to give up easily. When suddenly he heard the Administrator yell over the loud speaker and fumbled and tripped. She didn't sound like her usual self. She was talking extremely fast. Something was wrong.

"Attention all mercs, everyone must leave the battlefield immediately! Drop everything and run! There is no time! Now!"

Everyone was startled and confused but started rushing out of the battlefield. Weapons were left everywhere. No one knew what was happening and some were yelling in confusion and anger. (Soldier)

"Administrator, what's happening?" Ms. Pauling asked while the Administrator panicked on her monitors, trying to do anything she can.

"Mann Co is shutting down. We've lost money and we can't afford to keep going. But Saxton is trying to get one last chance to....."

"To what!? Administrator, to what?

"I guess his idea of having fun?"

"What is he trying to do?"

"He wants to lock them all in one enclosed area and make them fight to the death."

"WHAT!?!?"

"Yes-"

THUD

It was only a thud but she knew what it meant. They were trapped along with all the mercs, they were trapped in Teufort specifically, under a giant. Glass. Dome. Of course. A glass dome. How original.

Of corse, at first some tried picking up their weapons and shooting the glass, which didn't work because the glass was, of course, bulletproof. BLU Soldier pulled out his shovel and started digging, then came back up eight minutes later, covered in dirt, sweat, and blood. The dome went quite a bit underground. Some were wounded and went to their Medics. RED Demoman was placing stickies all along the bottom of the dome. RED Scout was trying to climb the dome hoping for there to be an opening at the top. No one was happy. AN: I swear to god the helmet party stuff is coming just wait.

Suddenly Saxton Hale himself was talking over a loud speaker on the top of the dome that no one knew was there.

"I have locked you all in here for one reason. But first I must tell you, Mann Co has run out of money. But fret not, I have decided that we can end this with a fun game, you could say. Pause for reaction."

*cricket noise*

"WHAT IS IT LADDIE!?" The blu drunk man yells impatiently.

"It will be a fight to the death. You all have your weapons, you may get healed up if you have not already, and then we may start the battle! When all of you are ready go back to your bases. We will see who is truly the best team. RED or BLU." He announced in an overly dramatic tone

Everyone was intrigued by this opportunity to show their worth. They all had their strengths and weaknesses but it would all come down to one team.

After about six minutes, everyone got ready to battle.

"Some rules," Saxton started again, "No respawning, kinda implied, once your dead your dead, no team killing, and no Übercharge. *Medics scoff* Shut up you two. Now all the rules are cleared away we can finally start. The battle will commence in 3, 2, 1, FIGHT!" The Scouts start running out first, ready to get in there and kick ass! (As always) RED Engi decides to stay behind and relax for a bit and let everyone else leave.

"What are you doing mate?" Snipers words make Engi jump a bit.

"I felt like waiting a bit for everyone else to leave, but you go on ahead."

"Alright, see ya on the other side."

That made Engi think. This really is going to be their last battle. He was used to dying but he was used to coming back. If he died, he would be gone..... forever...... He removed the thought from his head, and went to get some metal to build a dispenser, they're gonna need it. Also a sentry. That's important.

He wandered around in the empty hallways looking for a good spot. While he wandered the barnyard like place, he thought of all the good memories he had in there. All the kills with his sentry he got. All the times his dispenser was the only thing keeping them alive, everything he would place a sneaky teleporter that won the game. He thought of his coworkers, and how much he's gotten attached to them. He knew that today might be the last day they see some. He tried to not think of that, and think of the possibility of them killing all of blu with their whole team intact.

He thought of all of his friends. He thought of Scout, and how he felt almost like a son to him, he thought of all the nights he'd gonna camping with good ol' Snipes, all the times he went out drinking with Demo, how good friends he was with a Pyromaniac. All the experiments he'd done with Medic, the good times he had with Spy and Heavy, and Soldier. The person he'd grown most attached with. The love of his life. Soldier. He loved his team so dearly, and he didn't like thinking about permanently losing them.

He thought so much that in that time he subconsciously built a level 3 dispenser and sentry gun. Whoops. He liked getting carried away in thought though. It helped him deal with a lot of things. He thought through most things he did. He had a big brain, he loved to use it. He got carried away again as he picked up his sentry and walked towards the battlements.
