Secretary Yoon: Your time is up, princess. No more hiding. Chairman Kim has decided you won't be attending school for the next four days. I'm on my way to your hotel room now with some bodyguards to collect your belongings.
That was the last message I read before I turned off my phone, fully aware that by now, everyone at school was probably talking about me. It didn't bother me too much though, with the semester almost over. I decided to turn on the TV, but immediately regretted it. A news report about me flashed across the screen, and I knew it would be the same on every channel. I groaned and switched it off.
Sitting in the hotel chair, ready to leave, I could see reporters gathering outside the building through the large glass window. Word had already leaked that I was staying here. I sighed, waiting for Secretary Yoon. Moments later, there was a buzz at the door.
" Good morning, Miss Annie. We've spoken with President Choi, and he's arranged for us to use a discreet passageway out of the hotel, so the media won't see you." Secretary Yoon said with a reassuring smile, knowing how stressful this was for me. I nodded, slipping on my sunglasses, and followed him out into the hallway.
Ten bodyguards were waiting, four of them escorting me while the others handled my luggage. As we walked, Secretary Yoon explained that I wouldn't be attending school for the next four days due to upcoming photo shoots and interviews—part of the publicity they needed to manage my image.
We arrived at the VIP parking lot, where three sleek black cars and a van awaited. I slipped into the middle car, staring out the window as the engine roared to life, taking me away from the hotel that had been my little sanctuary.
