MANHATTAN, NEW YORK — NOVEMBER 6, 2000

The alarm clock sounded loudly, causing Asia to groan as she lightly squirmed around out of her sleep. Her eyes slowly opened, looking at the time on the nightstand. 7:00am.

She stretched one arm out and hit the button at the top of the alarm to stop the annoying, blaring alert. Usually she'd have to wake up an hour earlier so she could catch the bus on time for work. But since Nique was giving her a ride today, she was grateful for the little extra sleep she was able to get.

Asia released a yawn, stretching her entire body out on Unique's soft king sized bed as the sheets draped over her body. It was then when she realized he was no longer beside her.

They slept comfortably throughout the night, with Unique holding her close like he had no intention of ever letting her go. It was truly one of the most relaxing nights both of them have ever had.

Asia hopped out of the bed rubbing her eyes while she sluggishly made her way to the connecting bathroom in the bedroom and started her morning routine.

After getting herself together for the day, she stepped out of the bedroom noticing that she was alone but soon spotted a note on the living room table.

"ASIA, I'll be back soon. I promise I won't make you late. But if you don't feel like going at all so we can have some fun, I'm cool with that too."

Asia laughed and shook her head at the last part of the note. She still had some time to spare since her shift was at 9:30am and it was currently only 7:50am.

As soon as she finished reading the note, Unique walked in. She chuckled, turning to face him as she held the paper up. "So we can have some fun huh?"

Unique cackled, closing the door behind him. "I mean, I can really tuck you in this time if you tryna call in sick." He winked with a side grin across his face.

"Kadeem.. please." Asia snickered and placed the note back on the table. "Where did you go?"

Unique held up the plastic bag in his hand. "I don't know how to cook that well, so I went out and bought you some breakfast." He said, making his way to the kitchen as Asia followed him.

"Aww thanks, Nique. That was nice of you." She took a seat on one of the high stools at the marble island.

"Gotta make sure my baby girl is good."

Asia smiled shyly while he took the food out of the bag and placed it in front of her. She opened the large container displaying waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausages. In a smaller container, there were strawberries and blueberries.

"You want apple or orange juice? Or is you one of them saditty girls that drink like.. iced coffees and shit in the morning?" Unique joked as he opened the fridge.
