Brown Eyes || T.S

Chapter 1

"Jun? What are you still doing here? You have to get ready for the party!" Juniper looked up from her computer to see her assistant Margo standing in the doorway.

She looked at the time on her clock and her eyes widened. She was going to be incredibly late to this event if she didn't leave now. And her Father wouldn't appreciate it if she was.

She got up and frantically started putting her papers into her briefcase "I wasn't paying attention to the time, thanks Mar, you're a lifesaver."

She closed up the case and made her way to the redhead, to which she gave her a grateful smile once she passed her. She dug in her purse for her phone once she was out of her office, but since she couldn't find it she was only getting more frustrated.

"You left it in your office hon." Margo held out Juniper's phone in front of her. She sighed in relief and gave her another grateful smile as she put it in her purse.

"What would I do without you?" She breathed and Margo simply smiled and wrapped her arms around her.

"You would be running around like a chicken without its head. Have fun at the event, say hi to your parents for me." Juniper nodded and gave her a quiet thank you before getting in the elevator to go home.

Her driver that her dad insisted on her having opened her door and she got in. She grabbed her phone that was safely in her purse and looked through it. She had a missed call from her dad. She sighed and decided to call him back.

After a couple rings it went to voicemail. She just decided to put her phone back into her purse and looked out the window until she got to her apartment.

Once she was home she decided to open the bottle of cheap wine that was keeping cool in her fridge just to get her ready for tonight.

She knew she was going to have to suck up to the old billionaires just to get them to invest in her Father's company that she was hopefully taking over soon.

Once she got her wine glass filled she went to her room and sorted through her closet. Pulling out dresses that she hasn't worn yet.

After pulling out a couple contenders and looking through them. She decided on a black dress that went down to her feet. It was backless with a couple straps which she liked, and decided to pair it with black heels.

"Dad. I swear I'm leaving" Juniper looked in the mirror fixing her lipstick and putting on a spritz of perfume. She rolled her eyes as her dad kept on complaining.

"Yes, I know I'm almost an hour late. And I'm sorry, I got held back at work." She grabbed her clutch and looked through it while balancing her phone between her head and shoulder.

"Ok, I'm on my way. Love you bye." She hung up the phone and dropped it in the clutch that she was holding and made her way to her front door. She took one last look in the mirror before she completely left her apartment.

Once she was in the lobby and outside her apartment complex her driver opened her door and helped her get in. She thanked him once she was in and grabbed her phone that was in her clutch.

She looked through her emails and just decided to answer the ones that she was able to at the moment.

After what felt like a couple of seconds to her the car stopped and her driver told her she was here.

She looked out the window only to see people still walking into the venue that the event was hosted in. "At least I'm not the only one late." she mumbled as her driver opened her door and helped her out of the car and made her way inside.
