Chapter 22

(this chapter is a memory that Barbatos is remembering)

It was a dark and stormy night Devildom was as quiet as death as the barrier shield surrounding the entire Devildom was as strong as ever.

It was put by the king of Devildom who didn't want to be disturbed by outside affairs or have contact with it or have things occur in his own domain

With the barrier in place an unbreakable one. Nothing could come in or go out. Devildom demons had no contact with anything outside of their home.

While this went out in a castle that towered over Devildom. Inside the king himself remained
Asleep but even though he was unconscious.

He was watching everything after all. he was capable of anything and everything he could still watch his kingdom from his spot.
And watch time and space.

Nobody knew why he never leaves the castle or why he put up the barrier.

But they speculated it was because he wanted everything to be untouched unbothered and unable to be tampered with.

Wanted everything to be in an endless perfect eternity.

They also thought he was scared of change and didn't care to do anything about it.

But soon it would all change.

Tonight as the king of Devildom was unconscious in his slumber he was suddenly shot awake as he sense and saw a disturbance.

He saw someone or something had broken the barrier shattering it and was falling from the sky

With no hesitation assuming it was a threat he quickly flew off to face it.

Within seconds he was there and immediately caught the person and then flew down to the ground hitting the ground.

As the person was on the ground the king was top of him grabbing him by the neck with one hand while the other was inches away from his face ready to obliterate his face if needed.

King Barbatos : who are you!"

Mammon : ......."

Mammon was completely horrified and frozen in fear not only because he fell from celestial and into Devildom but because he was face to face with a demon that look to be the king.

He was for sure thinking he was. Going to die right then and there he didn't know how demons or how to talk to one to beg for his life.

Mammon : I..... I'm mammon..... please don't kill me....."

King Barbatos : unless I deem necessary  I won't. Now tell me Mammon.

How did a angel like you end up here and break the barrier?"

Mammon : I...I fell from celestial....I trip on myself....I...I don't know how I ended up here or how I broke it....I think I landed on it with my butt....."

King Barbatos just starred at him
Confused and disgusted.

King Barbatos :... maybe I should put you out of your own misery?"

Mammon : no! I... what's your name?"

King Barbatos : .... Barbatos. I'm the king here"

Mammon : ....I I'm here to cause trouble....I just want to go home....."
