"What are you making?" Yul asked while coming out of the bathroom. Her hair was still wet and water still drizzling from her hair.
He looked towards her and gulped "Umm.... it's your favorite Tteok-bokki"
"Tteok-bokki? It's not my favorite"
"Well, it's gonna be your favorite after you taste this" He pointed out the dish he's making. "Go sit I am serving"
"Okay" She said while sitting on the chair.
"Yul? I have something to ask you"
She was nervous by the thought that he may ask about her answer after his confession. "What is it?"
"Do.. you.. have any plans today?"
"Hmm? No"
"Then why don't you come to my house for a visit. I told my mother about you and she wanted to meet you"
"What? You told your mother-about me?"
"Yes and she said you must be a nice girl. She would like to see you face to face. I even promised her that I will take you to her. You're coming with me, right!"
She said nothing and was just staring in his eyes.
TIME SKIP
"Mom!! See, who has came"
"Who is it son?" Felix's mother said while coming to the living area.
"Yul this is my mom and Mom this is my- I mean this is Yul" "
Hello Aunty!!"Yul said while bowing.
"Oh so is she the same girl you were talking about"
"Yes!!" He said while giving a cheeky smile.
"Come have a seat dear. Consider this as your own house and me as your own mother" his mother said to Yul.
"You two talk. I'll go and make something for you" said Felix.
Yul looked at him like a small kid does when there parents leave them which didn't go unnoticed by Felix and his mother. Seeing this a smile crept on his mother's lips.
"Don't worry I'll be back soon"
"Dear, Don't worry I won't eat you" Her mother said while assuring.
"No, it's not the thing. Actually I'm just nervous about what he have told you about me"
"It is funny to see a bold girl like you, all nervous"
It reminded what Felix said her before (Felix "you know how funny it is to see the girl who scares everyone, getting scared from a small cat")
She chuckled and said "You're just like your son"
She frowned mischievously "I'm not like her. He's like me"
She giggled and said "Your son is just cute like you" She was not nervous anymore.
"Really? Do you think my son is cute?"
"Ahm..."
"Well, leave that. You know what?"
"What?"
"Thank you!"
"But why?"
"You changed my son. He always used to stay upset. But now I can see genuine happiness in his eyes. It's after you came into his life"
"But-"
"I know he always used to pretend like he's completely fine. He has everything. I always try to give him the best but still I could see emptiness in his eyes. I think you have completed that place"
"I never knew this. He seemed so fine from outside but all this"
"He's good at hiding stuff but I am his mother. I can see everything"
"I wish I could have one" She chuckled painfully.
Felix mother's eyes softened. "Why? I am your mother. Call me mother from now on"
Yul started crying on this while his mother panicked.
Just then Felix came "Mom! What did you do? Why is she crying?"
"I told her to call me mother and she started crying" his mother claimed.
"Aishh this girl. You should be happy why are you crying?"Felix said with concern in eyes.
"I'm not crying on my own. The tears are falling on its own. I can't help it. Even I don't know why is it happening"
Felix crouched down to her level and wiped her tears "I gave you time to cry yesterday now it's enough. You won't cry anymore"
AFTER A WHILE (LUNCH TIME)
"You know what Felix. I thought you haven't got anything from your father but I was wrong. You're indeed his son"
"But why are you saying like this?" He asked while taking a spoonful to his mouth.
"Cause you remind me of him. He too used to care and love me like how you do with Yul"
She said while stepping into her dreamland remembering her past.
Hearing this Yul's face got red and Felix choked on his food. He gave her mother a side. He looked at Yul and He shook his head as he was trying to said, "Don't mind her, she has always been like this" Yul just smiled looking at him and his mother. She envy Felix for having such a great mother. For having A MOTHER"
