Perhaps because he had no living existence to call them as 'more than a stranger'. Perhaps, he did not let them in. He was not supposed to. It was all just a playful mask to cover the depth of his blank life. He needed some filter. And he might actually find one in process. Hopefully.
"You are up, early." The chains of her thoughts broke as Dev entered the kitchen whistling in the meantime. He took the tea that she kept for him and looked around before blowing the hit beverage. "Is he still guarding at the door?"
Raima rolled her eyes and sipped on her tea. "Bold of you to assume he even came here last night to guard us." Dev could clearly notice the annoyance hidden in her voice. It was to obvious. Could you blame the lawyer though? The lawyer woke up groggily to fetch some water but all she saw was, her kitchen area messed up. It looked like as if a wolf had searched for its prey inside the kitchen. The only difference was that, the criminal lawyer could guess who the wolf was. "Get ready."
"What? But why?"
"Just change your attire while I change mine." Shehuffed lightly and smacked his bicep. With that the bossy noirette left the room leaving her secretary sighing. Dev had no idea what was on her mind but nevertheless he went to his room to change his pajamas knowing they will be going somewhere.
