P.O.V ALBUS POTTER
No, no that couldn't be happening
No, no, no, no
I looked up and there was professor Longbottom, Uncle Nev, looking at me with a baffled face and bugged out eyes.
I could hear the whispers...
"A Potter, in Slytherin?"
"That's what we call a family's black sheep"
Sitting in the lion's table, there was my brother, with a indecipherable face, and looking directly at him, Rosie, with a wide open mouth and a shocked face, but, right before her, there was a smile.
Annabelle Lupin had a wide smile on her lips, as if it wasn't bad that I just broke the family's tradition, disappointed my parents, and, apparently, destroyed my own reputation before my proper first day of classes.
Just the, I heard someone calling my name,
— Never would'a guessed, Potter, that we'd be housemates! That's what I'm talking about, now we can switch chocolate frogs' cards without any silly girls butting in!
Then I caught myself smiling as I remembered my cousin complaining about how "chocolate frogs are a children's thing" , while Scorpius rolled his eyes at each comment and Belle just kep looking distractedly through the cabin's window.
The sorting ceremony kept going, while my conversation with Scorpius kept going as well.
We talked about many things, from quidditch to the most repugnant flavour of All Flavour Beans'
When dinner was over, our house prefect, Christopher Parkinson, took us to our common room.
The common room was gorgeous, extremely elegant, with tapestries in different tones of green and a huge fireplace.

When we properly settled down in our dorms, we met another boy from our year,
Maximus Zabini, a relatively tall kid for our age, tan skin and a smart aura.
He seemed like the kind of person to spend his whole life in a library, reading book after book, I think that Rosie and him would get along pretty well.
People here aren't extremely rude or bad, some of them are at most a bit snobbish, but other than that, they're perfectly normal, nothing like Uncle Ron told us...
Maybe being a Slytherin isn't that bad, after all.

P.O.V ROSE GRANGER-WEASLEY
I could not believe it
Albus, my cousin, is a Slytherin.
I know that he is my cousin, but even then, he's a Slytherin...
Dad always told me stories about dark wizards from that house, even Voldemort was a Slytherin! It cannot be a place with good people.
But... Albus got sorted there and he is, by far, my favourite cousin...
Not that I don't like my other cousins, but Al is the only one who gets me, he's so sweet and caring, he never hurt anyone and he will definitely not turn into a dark wizard... I wish...
When I looked a little bit to my right side, James looked straight at his brother, with an indecipherable face.
— He'll get along well there.
It was Belle's voice, who had an encouraging smile looking at him, looking at me right afterwards.
— Don't you agree?
What?
—No, I obviously do not. He just got sorted into Slytherin.
My voice came out a little more exasperated than I wanted to, not that she realised, before she looked puzzled at my direction.
—So?
That girl is messing with me right now, she cannot be serious.
—Annabelle, we're talking about Slytherin right now, don't you get it? It's the dark arts' house!
—First of, never EVER call me Annabelle, second of, it isn't wrong to be a Slytherin. It's just the ambitious wizard's house, my uncle raised me and he is a Slytherin too
I could swear that her hair was a little red at the edges, almost like a strawberry blonde- wait what? blonde?
— She's right, ya know?
Who said it this time was a voice besides James.
An older boy, with brunette wavy hair and grey eyes, who seemed to be James' age. I know him, Regulus Black, he goes every summer to my Uncle Harry's house.
James, sitting besides him, nodded, looking at Albus who was already at Slytherin's table.
—B-but my Dad said that...
—Well, your father was wrong, just that simple.
What left me speechless was the fact that James was the one who said it.
— Look, Jay, I know you're trying to side with your brother. But there is no excuse, he is a Slytherin!
— You do realise that he is your family, right? —said Belle, staring at me— The fact that he got there should be enough for you to realise that your dad was wrong. You've known him his whole life now you'll treat him like a bad person just because your dad had some house rivalry from when he attended school like 20 years ago?
The worst part is that I couldn't come up with anything to that...
