The Enemy Within

Ch. 1

A/N Hello and welcome to the sequel of The Chaotic Wolf. Now, this chapter is going to take place right where I left off. I hope you guys like this book and the previous book as well, anyways on with the chapter.

"Next time I call a meeting you better show up on time understood Lucifer?" Zeus spoke up angrily as soon as he saw me, I just sighed in response. "Normally yes but I had to handle another matter that was more important. No I will not tell you, at least not until after every one else has spoken first."

~~Lucifer's POV~~

I summoned a chair for me and sat down in the middle of the throne room, glancing towards Hestia and Daisy. I smiled at the young girl as Hestia tended to her wounds and was talking to her, probably asking her what happened and making sure the girl is ok. I didn't hear anything the gods were talking about as I was not interested in squabbles they had or their daily lives as it was boring and uneventful. I looked away from the the two girls and looked up towards the ceiling, watching the artificial sky as I zoned out completely. As I watched the sky I could feel Devil coming to talk to me and I internally sighed.

"You know I can still hear you sigh right? I'm apart of you so I always know what you're thinking and doing." he said with a slightly irritated tone to which I closed my eyes and a few seconds later I was mentally transported to what looks like a living room, with a couch, two recliners, a coffee table and a tv that was mounted to the wall. Devil was sitting in one of the recliners, normally when I talk to him he's in his wolf form but right now he's in the part wolf part human form.

I just sat down and looked at him as I leaned back in the recliner, "What do you want Devil? now is not a good time and you know that." He watched me for a while before responding. "I want you to let me out more often, and let me take control more often. We both know what happens if you suppress me for too long." I just chuckled at his response before replying.

   "And we both know what will happen if you take over, half the gods would be dead in an hour. Also, why do you think I have you partial control earlier? I know you loved what you did back there." The beast just smiled and nodded as I stood up, "As much as I loved our little chat, I must be going. I'm still in a meeting after all and they're most likely finished talking about themselves by now." He nodded as I closed my eyes and left my mind scape. When I opened up my eyes, I noticed two things. One, all the gods where staring at me and two, Hestia was holding onto Daisy who looked very worried.

I raised an eyebrow and looked around, "What's wrong with all of you? You're acting like I was dying or on my deathbed." I smirked as Daisy got out of Hestia's grip and ran over to me and hugged me to which I hugged her back. I looked over at Hestia with a raised eyebrow.

   "While the others were talking you became enveloped in a circle of pitch black smoke. Then you started talking in another language, but as if you were talking to someone in that different language." Hestia said and I just nodded in response as I looked down at Daisy and rubbed her back. "Hey, it's ok I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon ok?" She just nodded in response as I gave her a gentle hug before summoning a seat for her next to me and she sat down. "Moving on, when I save your children I need you all to claim your child or send me a sign that they're yours. it will make things easier for me for when I'm in the middle of the country and I won't have to worry about which camp to take the child to please."

   The gods nodded in response as this was an acceptable request "Um, Lucifer? Why do you have a little girl with you and why was she acting that way?" Artemis asked as I turned to look at her. "She is the reason I was late, I was going to come when Zeus called but I had to help Daisy here. No I'm not going to tell you why she needed my help unless she says otherwise or wants to talk about it. But I will say that she will be probably joining your hunt."
