It was a bustling Friday night, the heavy rainfall had begun to dissipate, turning into a light drizzle to the joy of many Londoners.

Both tourists and residents made their way around the famous Piccadilly Circus to do some late night shopping or experience the nightlife that London had to offer, an escape from the hassle of the week to unwind and have fun.

The latter feeling resonated with a man named James Porter–middle aged despite some of his boyish features that made him appear a few years younger; sporting an undercut hairstyle, and five o'clock shadow.

Next to him was a woman standing a bit taller than him with a darker skin tone, their hair tied behind in a small ball with small strands that were frizzled and curled. The woman looked no older than eighteen.

"Dad, do you really have to leave so soon?" The young woman asked James as they continued to walk down the street. James remained silent for a moment while they continued to walk. A set of vans began to move along the streets, all of them with tinted windows.

"I wish I could, Charlotte." James finally answered with a small sigh at the end. Charlotte's lips dropped downward into a frown. "I know, I know... but this is all to make sure you are safe, dear."

"I... I know, dad." she sighed, looking a bit down at the ground; "Just scared that–that one day you won't..."

"Hey." James gently grabbed his daughter's hand, using his thumb to rub it. Charlotte cleared her throat a bit from the lump that wanted to form in her throat. "You don't worry about your old man, alright? I'm going to be alright once this is all said and done–maybe by then you'll give me some grandkids, yeah?"

"Oh, don't start with that now dad." Charlotte let out an audible groan and smiled a bit. "Just, be careful and don't do anything reckless."

"I'm your father, of course I have to ask you about kids." he smirked; "And what makes you think I do anything reckless? I'll have you know I'm one of the best."

"Really? The best?" Charlotte raised an eyebrow. "Funny, because Uncle Seamus, Mark and Papa Liu say otherwise."

"Oh c'mon. Liu too? Traitor." He rolled his eyes, acting annoyed while his daughter laughed. James wrapped an arm around her shoulder to pull her in a bit."Well don't listen to them, cause I'll be right."
