Ruby Liked it so She Put a Ring on it

My wife used to be dead

Ruby groaned and squeezed her eyes shut against the sunlight that was trying to wake her up. She turned over moved towards the warm body In front of her. 'Wait, body?', Ruby thought and bolted upright.

She looked over to see a brunette girl asleep next to her. Ruby moved her hand to get the hair out of the girls face to see it better but a glint caught her eye. She pulled her hand up to get a better look and saw it was a ring with diamonds, rubies, and Amber stones.

"What kind of ring is this?", Ruby muttered aloud and was surprised when she got an answer. "It's a wedding ring.", a female voice said. Ruby turned to see the brunette was now awake and she could put a name to the girl as well.

"Amber?!", Ruby chocked out in shock. "Yeah, Ruby?", Amber responded. Ruby looked at her and after a few moments regain her composure enough to speak. "How are you alive? We buried you. You got shot by an arrow by Cinder.", Ruby rambled on.

"I don't know. I remember being shot. Then it got dark for a really long time and then I was woke up in a cemetery. I didn't climb out of the grave or anything though. I just was there.", the girl told Ruby.

"Okay. And how did I end wearing a wedding ring while sleeping next to you?", Ruby asked. "That one's much easier to answer. We were both drunk at a bar and you asked me to marry you. I said yes. We bought matching rings and signed a marriage certificate. Like that we were married.", Amber stated. Ruby laid back down trying process what all she had just been told but her brain just came to the conclusion my wife used to be dead.
