[You're either here as a joke, in that case you should drop this book and book it out of here. Cuz hun, it never stays a joke for long. Or you want some genuine satisfaction for your....craving's. I'm a different breed of people. This book, story, thing, was made out of pure curiosity (and maybe a dare I did with a friend). I 👏don't 👏 simp 👏 for 👏 this 👏 MAN.

       "This is such a bummer.." Y/n groaned aloud.
         They bring their hand up to the corny looking hat atop their head and shift it about with new found irritation. They flick brim of, knocking it back some, before letting their arm droop back to their side. Swaying as it hung.
         A few glances were made towards the clock. It felt like forever till the end of the shift. Their eyes landed on the door a few times as well. It hadn't seemed to open since some annoying lady with an equally annoying child glued to her hip came in. She was bitching about the apparently "lack luster" flavors the shop had. Really, y/n had no idea what she was going on about. They kept quiet, though. Yogurt shop policy and all. Plus, they didn't exactly feel like searching for a new job.

         They let their head hit the counter with a soft thud, and following close behind, a slight sting and throbbing sensation. Needless to say, a phone had quickly been pulled out. Their eyes bored into the dim light of the screen.

          Mindless scrolling initiated!

         A few orders were placed and some conversations were made with the remaining time Y/n had stuck at their 9 to 5. None made the day go by any faster but at least work was done.
         Y/n strung their hat on the metal hook hanging on a wall. The apron went next. They gather all of what they brung to work and walk back home.

          Y/n practically threw the door open when they reached their apartment. They hurry inside. Quick to lock it back.
         Slipping off their shoes and hoodie immediately, tempted to just throw them onto the floor, Y/n shuffled to their room. It wasn't anything special. A twin sized bed, some bed set they found from the thrift store. A couple storage spaces too.
         It was enough to survive.
          They put their things away then plopped down onto the bed. It creaked in protest. But of course, the bed didn't have a say in this matter, so they wiggled till it was comfortable enough.
          Y/n stayed like that for a while. Drifting in and out of sleep. They had just been so tired and the bed (for what it was) was so soft and squishy. Guess it never crossed their mind how long they'd been staring off into the dull yellows of the walls.
         They roll onto their back. Racking their mind for something to do. They're met with darkness again when resting their eyes for a moment.
         "Oh yeah..! Uhm, I totally forgot. I have a VHS tape."
         Legs are quickly swung to the side of the bed when Y/n sits up. They hop off and dig into a nearby drawer. Fishing though random stuff before pulling it out.
        Y/n turned it too and fro, examining it. They walk over to the VHS player in the corner of their room of which they set up this morning. It shifts into place before being sucked in. Whirring and some soft mechanical noises emmet. Jeez, how long has this thing been setting?
         It begins to play. And well, it wasn't half of what Y/n expected it to be. A children's show. Not a bad thing but, they weren't a child. Plus they were kind of hoping for something a little...scarier? Nonetheless they let it play through. Trying not to cringe at the bright colors and perky voices. It'd been too long since they'd watched something like this.
          A wave of nausea washed through them. They'd catch themselves and place a steady hand on the floor. Hunched over in a fetal position. The dark corners of their eyes didn't seem so shy anymore, it crept slowly into their field of vision. In blotches of black it appeared and made Y/n dizzy. So very...dizzy. They gave a soft groan before falling, dead weighted onto the floor. Out cold.
